Hi Angela, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey started with a deep appreciation for artistry and attention to detail, gifts nurtured early on by my talented mother. By the age of seven or eight, I was already developing a strong work ethic alongside my grandmother in hospitality, learning the value of service, and the art of networking. These formative experiences sowed the seeds for a career that would span more than thirty years across multiple industries.
My path wasn’t linear. It was shaped by a mosaic of roles and experiences that ultimately equipped me to bring grounded strategy and visionary leadership to every partnership. Today, collaborators (clients) often call me their “North Star” and “Ultimate Wingman” because I help them navigate complexity towards lasting impact. While I was fortunate to study at renowned institutions like the Harvard Business School, IDEO, the IIT Institute of Design, and the John Maxwell Team, my most valuable lessons came outside the classroom. Homeschooling our children (Pre-K to 12th Grade) was the catalyst to me living my dream of being an entreprenuer and working closely with people across many industries. This garnered exposure to the recurring challenges leaders face, teaching me resilience, adaptability, and the art of reinvention.
As my work deepened, I realized leaders needed more than systems; they needed strategic and global connections. This drove the evolution of my executive services and strategic acceleration programs. Our agency provides a “chill” environment known as “The Vault” for our members to operate in their zone of genius by applying (ICE) our signature four-phase methodology:
Ideation: Bringing clarity to ambitious visions and uncovering transformative growth opportunities.
Creation: Crafting resilient, elegant brand architectures designed to stand the test of time.
Execution: Turning strategic plans into measurable results and removing operational barriers. Developing opportunities for delegation and automation. We help them build a solid foundation while putting protections in place, pursuing purpose-filled passions, and positioning themselves to exit their business or to begin, to continue, to become a expert in their industry.
Today, through Savvy Designs, I guide entrepreneurs and creative leaders from concept to market-leading execution, facilitating visibility on world stages: from startup launches to nonprofit initiatives and red carpets.
A pivotal moment was realizing many new entrepreneurs were being misformed, misled, or guided away from the basic principles of how to create a personal and professional brand. They would focus on the big picture + the end goal, instead of creating a solid business foundation. This insight inspired me to create “The Pink Elephant Solution” (a playful metaphor recalling the rare, unmistakable pink elephants in nature). It symbolizes the unique challenges and brilliant innovation of the visionary clients I serve. New businesses seem to have a target on them and I wanted to make sure that when storms come, and they will; that the businesses that I helped can take those hits and still stand tall.
What drives me most is seeing leaders operate fully in their unique zone of genius. When purpose and strategy align, powerful legacies are created that uplift entire communities. This commitment extends beyond consulting. The Pink Elephant Solution’s philanthropic arm provides a free educational library and accessible classes, democratically spreading business knowledge to emerging entrepreneurs. Service also anchors my work outside of business through environmental advocacy and leadership with veteran and green organizations. I believe that authentic collaboration is currency and that sustainable brands must consider their impact on society and the planet.
Looking ahead, my goal remains steadfast: expanding global opportunities so visionary leaders can transcend borders and build brands rooted in clarity, purpose, and enduring influence.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely not! Building a multi-faceted business that integrates strategic consulting, design, and executive services has presented significant challenges.
One of my earliest struggles was learning to value my expertise appropriately. Like many service-driven entrepreneurs, I initially underpriced my work, competing on cost rather than the unique value my decades of experience and advanced credentials represent. I recall giving away strategic advice in “quick consultations” that evolved into full strategy sessions before recognizing I deserved fair compensation.
As the business grew, scaling became a new challenge. My perfectionist nature meant I personally oversaw every detail to uphold high standards, which led to burnout and bottlenecks. Learning to build systems and trust capable team members was a transformative shift, one that allowed the business to expand while maintaining excellence. Educating the market about strategic brand acceleration was another hurdle. Clients often assumed they only needed superficial fixes like a new logo or website, unaware that foundational brand strategy was the true imperative. Shifting these perceptions required patience, skill, and persistent communication. Working across diverse sectors—from startups to nonprofit organizations—challenged me to quickly understand varied market dynamics and “speak multiple business languages” while remaining authentic to my core methodologies.
On the philanthropic front, balancing the need to run a sustainable business while offering free educational resources demanded strategic planning and relationship-building to find dedicated volunteers who share the mission. Personally, maintaining work-life balance alongside commitments to environmental advocacy and veteran organizations has been an ongoing journey. These experiences sharpened my focus on boundaries, self-care, and purposeful leadership.
Every challenge has been a powerful teacher; shaping my resilience and deepening my empathy for the leaders I serve. It’s real-life experience that fuels my commitment to legacy-driven impact.

Early in my career, I came to understand the real challenge isn’t a lack of ideas or resources, it is a lack of clarity on the value and direction. Strategic clarity allows me to quickly identify underlying issues beyond surface requests; when a client asks for a logo, I guide them to brand positioning; when they want a website, I help refine messaging architecture first. This clarity saves time and resources, which drives long-term impact. It also empowers confident decision-making, whether forming partnerships, crafting brand strategies, or leveraging global networks to open doors for clients. Most importantly, it enables me to help leaders operate in their unique zone of genius—illuminating strengths they might overlook and equipping them to communicate their value powerfully.
