Life & Work with Aleecia Voglezon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aleecia Voglezon.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I grew up first-generation American in a Caribbean household, a Guyanese household to be exact. I was raised on herbal remedies and holistic healing my whole entire childhood. As I got older, I started to stray away from how I was raised and slowly cared less about my health. I mean I was a young college girl in my 20’s… who thinks about health and wellness during that time? It wasn’t until I had my son that made me rediscover my roots. I wanted him to be the healthiest he could be, and I was also more in tuned with my womb.

During this time, I started researching herbal remedies and ways to protect and nurture my womb. I realized that black women and women of color have a higher risk of fibroids/cysts. We are 3x more likely to pass away during childbirth. Learning about this is where I found out about Vaginal Steaming and its benefits. While looking to get the service, I decided, “why not be the service provider?” It was then my life changed. I needed to step up and be an advocate. I not only became a Certified Vaginal Steaming Practitioner, but I started to take herbal courses so I could handmake holistic healing products to help my community.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
To say it has been a smooth road would be crazy. This has truly been a time of trial and error. I have run into situations where I have went into deficit with my finances. I have had moments where I didn’t sell one item or book, one client, for weeks. Due to Covid-19 I experienced extreme shipping delays that resulted in spoiled items. It takes a lot of courage to step out on a limb and choose yourself! Am I motivated everyday? No. Are there days I question if I made the right choice? Absolutely. But I know that I am walking in my purpose and passion. I’ve been put on this earth to be a healer… to heal wombs and care for those around me. So I will continue to get through the struggles because I know it will be worth it.

What do you do, what do you specialize in / what are you known for?
I am a Certified Vaginal Steaming practitioner and a herbal healer. I specialize in educating and helping women “heal” their wombs and bodies of any ailments. I create custom blends to help alleviate and eliminate those ailments as well.
I am known for being a resource and and advocate for womb wellness, especially in women of color. Women of color have a higher risk of dying during childbirth, suffering from fibroids and cysts, as well as not having anyone advocate for them when it comes to their health. I am that person. I am now their advocate.

I am proud of taking the risk! I am so proud to be continuously educating women on a daily basis about their health and wellness. I have people that message me expressing how much they learned after reading one of my posts or watching an Instagram Video. It feels great. What sets me apart from others is how I customize everything I do. From the information I put out to the herbal blends I create specifically for each client. I make caring about your body, womb, and wellness sexy again without the oversexualizing.

What makes you happy?
Knowing that I’m educating women daily. Knowing that what I’m doing helps people live in their highest vibrational form. These things make me happy because I understand how great life can be when you are at your healthiest and happiest point in your life. You feel lighter… you smile bigger… you’re more proactive than reactive with your life decisions.
