Life & Work with Adam Stultz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adam Stultz.

Hi Adam, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Ever since I was young, I’ve been fascinated with movies and film. Watching movies was one of my favorite things to do as a child while at the same time drawing and practicing art. I actually got started in video production when I was in the 8th grade. My best friend lived next to a gentlemen that did wedding videos and he was very successful and profitable at it. That experience reinforced in me that video was where I needed to be and what I wanted to do in my life. Even knowing that, after graduating high school, I was planning to go to college in pursuit of Graphic Design. Lucky for me, I had an advisor that saw something in me and told me I should pursue ALL avenues of digital creation. This point right here is why I am where I am today. This thought that I should learn more than graphic design and teach myself as much as possible is the ONLY reason I can run my own video production business, basically by myself and still be able to succeed. Although I focus on video, I can do graphic design, websites, photography, you name it and I would encourage everyone out there to learn as much as possible in all aspects of life. It will only make you more successful and empowered. Which takes me to where we are today. I’ve started a show called Around Town where we interview other entrepreneurs and find out what makes them tick and what makes them successful. Knowing what you want to do in life is one thing, but learning to work on yourself, be in control of your emotions and be of value to society is really the only way forward.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Well, anyone out there looking to run their own business should probably just expect a bumpy road. Failure is something you should learn to embrace and see it as not failure but a learning process and one more step towards success. So yes, I failed. Many times. However, learning what I had done wrong and making sure not to repeat those steps is what has gotten me to where I am today. And I should clarify, I still make mistakes and I am still learning. That’s called being human right? But really at the end of the day, my obstacles/challenges were more of my own making than lack of talent and drive. It wasn’t until I got into the mindset that the world is full of abundance and here to help that things started to change for the better. Anyone can have the talent and drive to succeed, but unless you have the mental fortitude and mindset of a friendly universe, many will struggle to see their dreams come to fruition. Understanding that the greatest currency in this world is how you make others feel will lead to doors being opened for anyone living their truest life. Work on yourself and the business stuff will take care of itself. Fail often and fail forward.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in digital content creation that helps brands tell their authentic story and make the largest impact on their communities. I was trained by some of the largest production houses in Baltimore and I’ve taken that knowledge back to my own community of Carroll County to raise the standards of what good marketing is and provide a far superior service to what had been offered in the past. What sets me apart from pretty much every other video production house in the area is my abilities in all aspects of content creation. I shoot, edit, animate, design, mix and publish all of the work that comes through my business. You work with me from beginning to end. You are not passed off to another employee and you certainly aren’t a number when working with me. To me, you are family and as your family member, you have someone that has your back 100% of the time and nothing but your best interest at heart.

Perhaps what I’m most proud of now is my new show Around Town ( Right now, the show focuses on entrepreneurs in Carroll County, but my ultimate vision is to take that to the state and then ultimately the national level. With the ultimate goal being to be Netflix with my own show that celebrates entrepreneurs everywhere and inspires the next generation to take the leap. I strongly believe we as humans are better together and really need one another to live fulfilling and successful lives. It is my hope that Around Town brings back a sense of community and togetherness that turns our current culture into one of love, acceptance and abundance-minded thinking.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Three years ago, I never thought I’d own my own business, let alone run one that actually affords me the ability to live the life I’ve always dreamed of. Working for yourself is SCARY and you will always have doubts. But if you start working on yourself today, find the right people to have around you and believe in your abilities, your potential is limitless. You can succeed. You can make it and you can live your life of purpose. It all starts with working on yourself and changing your mindset.
