We’re looking forward to introducing you to Tiffany Thompson. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Tiffany, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
I have felt proud recently in completing my first Japanese class. I traveled to Japan last year and of course took my camera along. I was in awe of the beauty of Japan. I decided I would began learning the language once I returned.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am Tiffany a photographer and multidisciplinary designer residing in Maryland. My brand Ohheytiff specializes in sports photography and freelance design services. I have 15 years of experience in the photography and design realms. As a former athlete it was a dream to begin to photograph professional sports (including the WNBA, PWHL, UEFA and more). It is truly a dream to photography sports I loved to play.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest memory feeling powerful is on the basketball court. Playing as a guard controlling the pace of the game and feeling powerful. To be a leader on the court also helped me as I grew to be a leader in everyday life. I appreciated all of the discipline, patience and team sportsmanship I learned early on as it helped me become the hard worker and dedicated women I am today.
When did you last change your mind about something important?
The biggest shift was when I switched my major in college. I was a Biology major (which I loved) but Organic Chemistry took me out. It was then that I made the decision to pursue a career as a graphic designer with a focus in photography. It was one of the best decisions I made.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Putting a spotlight on women in sports. Whether it be the creatives, or the players I strive to continue to support women sports in every way. It is important for me to support and continue to uplift the next generation as women are still the minority in many ways in the sports industry.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
I think my clients would miss my the connection and business relationship overall. I am close to my clients and support them in every way I can. I am a people person and love to building lasting connections.
