Pratyik Prasanna shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Pratyik , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
I am learning and have keen interest in Science. I am venturing out different aspects of the subject. Science is also one of the reasons why I love nature.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a Grade 7 student and I pursue art as my passion. This drove me to start an Instagram page for my art and I thought my connection with nature and the creatures would be a display of my art and make people connect with me and the nature. The focus on my art is about each animal and its speciality written in the caption.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
I would say the artist “How2drawanimals” is an inspiration for all of my works. The techniques that he uses is captivating. He opened a way of possibilities by saying that with the help of geometric shapes we could draw a whole animal.
When did you last change your mind about something important?
At the beginning of opening an Instagram handle, I was very consistent in displaying my work. But in the middle, I lost consistency and took a very long break.
Now I have retrieved my interest and I am trying to post regularly.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief you used to hold tightly but now think was naive or wrong?
When I was a kid, I befriended everyone thinking that they’re kind and compassionate. Now I am aware that not everyone’s the same and I have changed the way I approach people.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel at peace when I spend time with nature and while reading books.
