Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Paige Beverly

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Paige Beverly. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Paige, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A typical day for me starts with waking up at 5:00am to answer emails and get my son ready to spend the day with his grandparents while I go to work. I work as a special education teacher, so I’m at school from 8:00am until 3:30pm. After my work day, I then go and tutor virtually or in person for my business The Tutoring Paige, depending on the client. I usually end the day with spending time with my son and partner before eating dinner and getting ready for bed.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi readers! My name is Paige Beverly, and I’m a 27-year old special education teacher, business owner and mommy of a 10 month old beautiful boy!
I have been working in education since 2018 when I began my first internships, and I have been blessed to be able to help educate youth in various organizations across Baltimore and abroad in Brussels, Belgium. I have a Bachelor’s degree in French and Education from Goucher College, and a Master’s degree in special education from NYU.

My business The Tutoring Paige is my passion and dream; I currently offer high-quality tutoring in ELA, Math and French for students K-8 (and any age for French!). My goal is to continue to expand and grow my business into a tutoring and mentoring service with multiple tutors/mentors, where we can service students across the United States. I tutor students who are neurotypical and neurodivergent with high incidence or low incidence disabilities. All children and youth deserve someone to pour into them no matter their ability!

My newest project I am working on in connection with and outside of my business is content creation; you can check out my tutoring instagram @thetutoringpaige and @lifewithpaigealyssa for more lifestyle and mommy content!

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
Perfectionism. I have been a perfectionist since I can remember, and that has served me well in terms of developing a great work ethic and a strong drive to make my passions come to fruition. However, as a teacher and especially as a mommy, things rarely go according to plan. In order to be my best and healthiest version of myself, I have to let go of everything being “perfect.” As long as I have given my best effort, that is the most important.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
This is the perfect question! 2025 presented myself and my family with levels of suffering that we never thought we would encounter. Those times were very difficult, but overcoming them taught all of us and taught me the power of perseverance, resilience and unity. Success is wonderful, but the purpose that came from the pain I endured is far greater. I learned how to be truly resilient in the face of adversity, how to continue pushing on even when hope seems lost, and that leaning into the strength that God and my family give me can help me fight some of the toughest battles.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
My faith, 100%. As a Christian woman, I hold tightly to my connection with God in order to maintain my strength in the world that we live in. Living and loving as Jesus did and having a true relationship with God is what drives me not only in my business, but just in my everyday life. In a world where social media and different belief systems try to shake your ground and your values, it’s important to stand firm in what you believe is right and just. My belief in God helps me to further maintain true kindness, true equity, and true fairness and love in any environment.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
This may sound surprising given the accomplishments I have and want to achieve, but I would stop teaching full time right away. Work would be put on the back end to spend as much quality time with my son and my amazing boyfriend. I feel that my career and work often take away quality time with the two loves of my life. Maximizing the time I spend with them and being truly present would be my priority.
