Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with KristieWolf

KristieWolf shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

KristieWolf, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: Who are you learning from right now?
I’m learning from my teenage daughter. She is the strongest, bravest person I know.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I write steamy military romantic suspense and smalltown romantic thrillers. My books are tales about fearless heroes and badass heroines who fight for justice and love while burning up the pages. Readers are guaranteed a happily ever after set against a thrilling backdrop of action, adventure, and suspense.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
Peg Hosky, Founder and owner of FedInsider, the company I’ve been working with for over twenty years. Peg left her corporate job in government marketing technology to start her own business to spend more time with her family. Peg grew FedInsider into the most successful, respected marketing firm in the Washington, D.C area. She taught me how to balance work and family and welcomed me into her family with such warmth that my two worlds melded in beautiful harmony. Peg will always have my love and gratitude, especially for the advice she continually gave that has become the words I live by – “If something isn’t working, change the message..”

When you were sad or scared as a child, what helped?
Escaping into a book helped me cope. As an adult, reading and writing are my go-to waysto elevate my myself when I’m struggling.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes! When I’m at events or even showing my face on social media, I talk about the things going on my life. The Kristie Wolf you meet at event or on camera who is wearing sequins and gushing about how much she loves her characters and her cowboy book collection, talking about her daughter’s horse or her son in the Navy, fidgeting with her table display, and never sitting down is the real me.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If immortality were real, what would you build?
A library with books written by me.
