Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Lady T
Hi Tiffany, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My motto is “Keep Shining.”
Shine so bright that you sometimes have to ask yourself “How did I get here?”
“How did I get here?” That is a question I ask myself on a weekly basis. I have the opportunity to do what I love on television and create content for the masses to enjoy. My comedic and bubbly personality shines brightly on TV, radio, and also journalistically. My life and career has put me in a position where I can impact the lives of people who need a laugh or smile. I give them just what the doctor ordered. I add a little bit of joy to their day, through their television, computer and cell phone screens.
However I like to call this part of my life, my season of “believing.” Believing I’m enough. Believing my dreams will come true. Believing I am special. Looking deep within and pulling the best out of myself, despite my circumstances.
My broadcast career started with an internship at Kane Show in Rockville, Maryland back in 2010. There I learned that things move quickly in the world of broadcast and you have to be alert and try to keep up. You also have to be in the know about everything. Wake up and know what’s happening in the world. Stay up to date on trending topics and current news.
Then I became a newspaper reporter for the P.G. Sentinel in 2015 and Southern Maryland Newspapers’ Maryland Independent from 2015-2017. There I learned how to write with “the voice” of a print news outlet. That means writing so that others could visualize what you’re saying about an event or issue. Somewhere along the lines I found my own voice and style of writing that helped me express the stories of other people that I find inspiring.
I finally landed a job in broadcast news in 2017 at WBFF FOX45. I went from Assignment Editor to Entertainment Correspondent to Lifestyle TV Host and Segment Producer/Booker. The titles are amazing but have a lot of weight attached to them. It’s a lot of hard work. You have to network and always have a backup plan if things don’t completely go as planned. Every day is different and you learn to go with the flow. A lot of hard work goes into having those titles but I deem it necessary to get where I’m going.
Currently the first half of my day consists of me booking guests for our morning show, as well as “Hometown Hotspot” segments, writing segment interviews and then I transform into Lifestyle TV Host for the second half of my day.
My viewers are foodies and explorers who love to see what’s new around town and hear what’s trending in the news.
My goal is to do all that I can in this role in order to tell great, inspiring stories and meet fun people on television. I can empower others and push them in the spotlight as well. It’s a ripple effect of positive change…and it starts with me.
Also, I started my own podcast in 2023 called “Am I On Speaker” because I needed another outlet where I could just be myself, unscripted and with no judgement. Season 1 is me trying out new things and having guests on who have similar interests. But in Season 2 my listeners get to know me through my friends and family who are guests on my show. My favorite part is asking guests how we met and playing different games with them. You get to know the real them. Plus it’s really fun to unwind with them and spill tea.
My acting career has allowed me to be featured in several films such as “Check Please” (2023) directed by Alvin Gray, “Black Thunder” (2024) directed by Dexter Brains and two more films coming out this year. I still take acting classes at McKinnon Acting School with Acting Coach Mark McKinnon. We learn how to book the room during an audition, break down scripts and land major TV/Movie roles.
I had the honor of gracing the cover of Queen Size Magazine in October 2023 as a full-figured model, actress and TV Host.
I am a two-time Emmy-nominated Lifestyle TV host and won Entertainer of the Year at the 2024 Full Figured Industry Awards.
As a Lifestyle host, I’ve had the honor of interviewing so many celebrities throughout my career including Nick Cannon, Niecy Nash, Adrienne Bailon-Houghton and Israel Houghton, Sherri Shepherd, Karamo, Amanda Seales, Anthony Mackie, John Legend, Jerry Springer, Steve Wilkos, Jenny McCarthy and so many more.
My other favorite thing to do is emcee/host events. As the master of ceremonies I feel like I bring a boost of energy needed to keep things moving along at an event. I’m known to keep the excitement going and create a happy atmosphere. I just love bringing joy to the people around me.
I’ve hosted the Capital Emmy Awards ceremony in the DMV area twice. I also speak at different schools for Career Day and I give advice to college students who are future broadcasters.
I am of jack of all trades in the media & broadcast industry so I am thriving and surviving. But mainly…I’m just out here shining!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
When my mom died in 2021 from cancer, I struggled to bounce back in to my career. She was my biggest supporter and my #1 fan. She made me the woman I am today. I am who I am because of her. My mom pushed me to follow my dreams and to be a better human being. With lots of therapy and life-coaching I had to learn how to move on with my life, without her here physically to guide me. Even though I know that she now guides me as an angel. I do struggle at times when I get good news and I want her to be the first to know. But I realize I can’t just call her on the phone anymore to tell her or celebrate these great moments with her. I miss her a lot but she inspires me everyday to keep pushing forward.
Everyday isn’t perfect for me. Life be life-ing!
Last year my acting agency dropped me, my health spiraled and my personal life took a major hit.
My confidence and self-esteem were at a record low and I lacked sleep.
If only these selfies could talk…
BUT GOD! It’s tough at times but you really have to push through. Even in those extremely dark moments.
Remember your purpose.
But most of all I learned to take care of myself first.
If you don’t pour into yourself, then how can you pour into others.
So everyday I make strides to do better. Even if it means doing something for myself, doing activities that I love and focusing on what makes me happy.
I have not perfected self-care yet but I’m en route and that ETA is good enough for me.
As you know, we’re big fans of Myfairladyt. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My media brand is Myfairladyt and my website is myfarladyt.net.
I am mostly known for hosting red carpets, TV appearances and being the master of ceremonies at events.
I’m funny, comedic, personable and relatable, so I believe that helps me connect with people on-camera and in-person.
I am also a content creator so I get invited to a lot of events and post about it on social media.
It’s basically a glimpse into the life of Lady T.
I love doing a “behind the scenes” look at fun places I go and the amazing things that I see along the way.
I’m all about capturing moments!
So I live in the moment but I also want to remember that moment, with a photo or video.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I LOVE BALTIMORE!
Charm City has some of the best seafood you will ever experience.
Nobody does seafood quite like Baltimore and Maryland in general. The entire state is a foodie’s dream of great restaurants.
The crabcakes are perfect, with not a lot of filler. That makes the perfect crabcake if you ask me.
I also love the people here in Baltimore. They are so real. They get my jokes.
There’s also a lot hidden gems in Baltimore. The restaurant scene is one of my faves.
Baltimore is definitely somewhere everyone should visit.
Food, fashion and fun. I love how creativity flows through the streets of Baltimore.
Baltimore has my heart!
