I have been doing nails for over 10 years and I’ve always loved doing nails—whether it was experimenting with designs on myself or helping friends with their manicures. What started as a hobby quickly turned into an obsession. Eventually, I realized I could turn my passion into a business.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Starting my nail business was a journey filled with passion, challenges, and unexpected heartbreak. I never imagined that in the midst of building my dream, I would face the greatest loss of my life—the stillbirth of our son. But through it all, I found a way to keep going, to heal, and to honor him in everything I do.
We’ve been impressed with Pretty Plush Nails, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My nail business is more than just a beauty service—it’s an experience, a form of self-care, and a space where clients feel valued and confident. I specialize in high-quality nail services, offering everything from classic manicures to intricate nail art, acrylics, gel extensions, and custom designs. I educate clients on how to take care of their natural nails and promote healthy natural nails.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
I’ve learned your brand is more than just your work. Great nails will bring clients in, but the experience you create keeps them coming back. I also learned to never stop learning new techniques and nail art.
