Today we’d like to introduce you to Samantha Lewis.
Hi Samantha, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I graduated high school at 17 and moved quickly into adulthood. By 19, I began working in the healthcare field, where I spent the next 18 years growing from bedside roles into administration. During that time, I earned an associate degree in Business Administration with a minor in Healthcare from the Community College of Baltimore County at the Essex campus, and later completed my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
My career allowed me to serve on executive teams and work with respected institutions including Johns Hopkins Healthcare and the University of Maryland Health System. These experiences shaped how I lead, build partnerships, and advocate for both organizations and the people they serve.
In 2012, I launched my consulting business alongside my healthcare career. After developing a serious neurological condition that made traditional employment unsustainable, I was forced to reevaluate what purpose and contribution looked like for my life. That pivot led me to focus fully on business consulting, startup development, and grant writing, allowing me to meet real community needs while working within my physical limitations.
Since then, I have supported for profit and nonprofit organizations across the country, helping them secure funding, strengthen operations, and grow sustainably. In 2025, my work helped generate nearly $300,000 in awarded funding, and I am on track to exceed that in 2026.
Throughout every professional transition, my greatest grounding has been my family. I am married to my amazing and supportive husband, and together we are raising three incredible children. Watching our oldest begin the college recruitment process has been especially meaningful and serves as a reminder that resilience, consistency, and faith can transform any starting point.
Looking back, my path has not been linear, but it has been intentional. Each chapter has shaped how I show up today as a grounded, strategic leader who is deeply committed to community impact and grateful for what lies ahead.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not been a smooth road. My journey has included living in foster care, navigating a cancer diagnosis, managing a serious neurological disorder, and grieving the loss of influential people who shaped my life. One of the most difficult moments was losing the career I worked so hard to build when my health no longer allowed me to continue in traditional roles.
Each of these experiences forced me to confront loss, uncertainty, and identity shifts, but they also required me to adapt, reflect, and ultimately reinvent myself. Those challenges reshaped how I define success, resilience, and purpose. While the road has been difficult, it has also strengthened my resolve and clarified the impact I want to make, both professionally and personally.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Fast Profit Business Consulting was created to help organizations turn vision into sustainable impact. I specialize in business development, grant strategy, and funding readiness for both nonprofit and for profit organizations. My work spans early stage startups to established organizations that need structure, funding alignment, and long term growth strategies.
What sets my firm apart is that I do not simply write grants or offer surface level consulting. I build systems. I help organizations understand what funders are truly looking for, align programs with measurable outcomes, and strengthen internal operations so funding is not just awarded, but retained and managed responsibly. Clients come to me when they want to move beyond chasing opportunities and instead position themselves as competitive, credible, and fundable.
Fast Profit Business Consulting is known for a high success rate, strategic storytelling, and hands on support. I work closely with leadership teams to ensure that proposals reflect lived experience, operational strength, and financial clarity. This approach has helped clients across the country secure millions in combined funding and scale their missions with confidence.
Brand wise, I am most proud of the trust I have built. Many of my clients come through referrals because they know I am honest, strategic, and deeply invested in their success. I am also proud that my business was built and continues to operate while navigating a serious neurological condition. That reality has shaped how I work, prioritize sustainability, and design services that are both effective and human centered.
I want readers to know that Fast Profit Business Consulting is not about quick wins or transactional services. It is about long term impact, ethical growth, and helping organizations build something that lasts.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was focused but also a bit of a rebel with a strong personality. I was deeply creative and expressive, drawn to music, art, and writing as outlets. I loved playing in my school’s marching bands, sketching, and writing poetry. Those creative spaces gave me a sense of identity, discipline, and freedom at the same time, and they helped shape how I think, lead, and tell stories today.
