Today, we’d like to introduce you to Mike Munter.
Hi Mike, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
When I was young, I was eager to get out and make money. I jumped into my first career in Baltimore as a computer technician. I didn’t know the first thing about fixing computers, but I learned about it on the job.
Within six years, I was installing networks, but I didn’t like what I was doing. I took a break and then turned my attention to working in baseball. I worked part-time for the Baltimore Orioles AA affiliate at Memorial Stadium in 1993. I moved up the ranks, and in 2003, I was the General Manager.
After moving to Portland, I started my first business in 2011 in search engine optimization and online reputation management. I’ve since narrowed my niche down to a few things that adhere to my mantra of “Easy, fun, systems.”
I’ve learned the things I enjoy most are those that are easy, fun, and scalable. So, I tried to apply this in every part of my life. I really enjoy having the freedom to do what I want, when I want, with who I want.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The two initial struggles on my road to entrepreneurialism were, first, how to make money and second, how to figure out discipline on the number of hours I would work each week.
It took me a couple of years to establish both of these, but if you keep at it and keep fine-tuning and putting energy into things, I always believe it works out in the end.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
What sets us apart is we are the most affordable stateside online reputation management company.
Our services are guaranteed, which means our clients don’t pay unless we are successful. We are transparent in what we do and provide many educational videos on our YouTube channel. We do quality work, and our clients love us.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you, and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
I didn’t learn much from Covid because I was already working from home.
However, it is interesting to see that Covid helped shift the mindset of employers to be OK with the fact that people can actually work and be productive from home. As an entrepreneur, working from home is a much better quality of life.
