Inspiring Conversations with Mervat Haddad of Fleur Beauty Studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mervat Haddad.

Hi Mervat, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
The Inspiration behind Fleur Beauty started about 8-10 years ago. I was working with women one-on-one and helping them build confidence from the inside out. I had to focus on building my businesses later in life in order to be available for my small children. Now as a business of working mothers, Fleur Beauty understands that it is easy for women to lose sight of putting themselves first. This is why we seek to nurture and empower other women so that they feel prioritized, grounded, and valued. In the process of building our bridal business, the opportunity of opening a private salon that caters to a 55+ community in Lansdowne, VA fell into my lap last year. Having a responsive and dedicated support system makes this all possible.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The pandemic definitely was challenging and brought the beauty industry to its knees. It pushed us out of our comfort zones, which allowed us to look at problems in new ways and think more creatively. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from my journey, it’s that the best advice is to always be true to yourself and to follow your passions.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Our talented team understands that communication and planning are key to coordinating the perfect event. This has led us to multiple industry awards and solid 5-star ratings.

We provide reliable, onsite services within our 20-mile travel zone without an added fee! We also offer bride-only and elopement wedding prep sessions, giving couples the flexibility they need for a stress-free experience. Our goal is to make the bride’s day as memorable as possible by providing the highest level of service.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
