Larry “Whaddup” Caudle’s journey is a powerful testament to transformation, resilience, and creativity. Born Raleigh North Carolina and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Larry has become a prominent figure in the city’s entertainment and cultural scene, leaving an indelible mark on Baltimore Club music, event management, and film production. His story is one of perseverance, rooted in overcoming adversity and finding purpose through his talents.
Early Life and Transformation
Larry’s life took a pivotal turn after a near-death experience in a car with a friend and the tragic loss of several close friends to violence and incarceration. Feeling the weight of his circumstances, Larry found himself at a crossroads. After repeated invitations to attend church from a longtime friend, Lenny Berry, he finally accepted.
Sitting at the back of the church, Larry listened intently to the sermon. When the pastor extended an invitation for prayer, Larry was the first to rise. At the altar, the pastor spoke directly to him, recognizing his influence but cautioning him about the dangerous company he kept. Overwhelmed with emotion, Larry fell to the ground, crying out, “I don’t want to live this life anymore. I’m ready to leave it all behind. I want to go back to school.”
In a moment of divine intervention, a minister named Edwin T. Johnson at the time prayed with Larry and handed him a towel and his business card. The minister, who happened to be the director of admissions at Morgan State University, encouraged Larry to pursue his education. That fall, Larry enrolled at Morgan State University and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Work in 2006.
A Passion for Entertainment and Culture
While attending Morgan State, Larry became heavily involved in community service and began exploring his passion for the arts and entertainment. Starting as a dancer, Larry’s talent and ambition led him to choreography. His drive to understand all facets of the entertainment industry introduced him to Rod Lee, the “Club King” of Baltimore. Larry quickly became Rod Lee’s trusted collaborator, working with local artists like Paula Campbell, Bossman, Tim Trees, and Nature’s Problem.

It Definitely hasn’t been a smooth road but I’m so passionate about change and evolution. Before attending Morgan state I would weigh everything on my shoulders. Through my studies I’ve been learning how to socially work my environment while still maintaining my B.E.A.C.H. LIFE. That’s Business x Education x Arts x Community x Health
