Inspiring Conversations with Johanna King of God Is Glamorous

Today we’d like to introduce you to Johanna King.

Hi Johanna, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I never thought I’d end up in ministry. I grew up living like a “regular” person—doing what the world did, without giving much thought to God. I was a party girl. I drank a lot, had sex outside of marriage, and followed whatever felt good in the moment. Jesus wasn’t a part of my life, and honestly, I didn’t think I needed Him.

I had not one, but two abortions, which left me feeling depressed and suicidal. Nothing could shake the guilt, the shame, or the dark thoughts—until I met Jesus. He stepped into the lowest point of my life with love, mercy, and healing. He didn’t just forgive me—He transformed me. What once felt like the end of my story became the beginning of my calling.

Today, I hold a Master’s degree in Christian Ministry from Liberty University, and I boldly preach the gospel that saved my life. My ministry was birthed from the pain of my past and the healing I found in Christ. Now, I help women pursue sexual purity, walk in their God-given identity, and experience true freedom in Jesus. I’m passionate about evangelism and watching lives be completely transformed through Jesus—just like mine was.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Since choosing to pursue sexual purity, one of the biggest struggles has been dating. As an abstinent Christian woman, it’s been incredibly hard to find men who are willing to wait until marriage to have sex. I’ve faced rejection, disappointment, and even seasons of loneliness. There were times when I questioned if I was doing too much or if I should just settle—but deep down, I knew I couldn’t compromise.

Choosing purity isn’t just about abstaining from sex—it’s about honoring God with my body, my heart, and my future. It’s a daily decision to deny my flesh and follow Jesus, even when it’s uncomfortable or unpopular. I’ve cried, I’ve prayed, and I’ve wrestled with God, but I refuse to trade my soul for temporary satisfaction. I won’t gain the whole world and lose what matters most—my relationship with Him.

Despite the struggles, I’ve also seen how God has used this journey to strengthen me, deepen my faith, and make me whole. I’m not waiting in sadness—I’m waiting in purpose. And I truly believe that when I finally meet the man God has for me, the wait will have been worth it.

We’ve been impressed with God Is Glamorous, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My ministry and business were born from my personal story of pain, redemption, and purpose. What I offer isn’t just coaching—it’s transformation. I help women heal, grow, and rise into everything God has called them to be. Through Christ-centered coaching, I walk with women through some of the most intimate and life-changing parts of their journey.

One of my signature programs is my Abortion Healing Coaching Program, where I help post-abortive women find freedom from shame, guilt, and grief. I guide them through a healing journey rooted in scripture, personal testimony, and the love of Jesus. It’s a safe, judgment-free space where women can process their pain, reclaim their identity, and walk boldly in their purpose.

I also lead the Proverbs 31 Bootcamp, a powerful 12-week experience designed for women who are serious about becoming all God created them to be—spiritually, emotionally, and even professionally. We focus on Bride Preparation, Mental Health Coaching, Healing & Deliverance, and Business & Branding. It’s a holistic, Kingdom-driven program that equips women to thrive in life, love, and leadership.

What sets my brand apart is that everything I do is deeply rooted in the Word of God. I don’t offer surface-level motivation—I offer spiritual depth, real healing, and lasting transformation. I don’t just teach principles, I live them. I’ve been through the fire, and now I’m helping others come out refined and ready.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of building a safe space where women can be real, be restored, and walk in their Godly purpose. My heart is to serve, to uplift, and to remind every woman that her past does not disqualify her—it’s the very thing God will use to empower her.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned on this journey is to trust in God—fully and completely. I’ve come to realize that God is the only way. No matter how tempting the world may look or how easy the broad road may seem, it only leads to death and destruction. I’ve lived it, and I’ve seen the consequences of sin firsthand. The Bible is clear: the wages of sin is death—spiritually, emotionally, and sometimes even physically.

But I’ve also experienced the beauty of choosing the narrow road—the one that’s often less popular, more challenging, and requires sacrifice. That narrow path leads to life, peace, freedom, and abundance in Christ. It’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it. Jesus is the only way, the truth, and the life, and nothing this world offers can compare to the peace that comes from walking with Him.

So if there’s one lesson I carry with me every day, it’s this: Stay close to Jesus. Follow Him no matter the cost. That’s where real life begins.
