Hi Hanifa, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started Hani’s Touch Events in 2023 as a creative outlet—something that allowed me to bring ideas to life and create meaningful, beautifully curated experiences for the people around me. What began organically as planning events for friends and family quickly grew into something more, as i’d get complemented on the level of detail, intentionality, and overall experience behind each event.
My perspective towards what I was doing shifted in 2025 while planning my own wedding. Navigating that process revealed just how critical it is to have the right team, clear communication, and a planner who not only executes but advocates. That experience deepened my purpose and refined my approach to what I do.
Today, Hani’s Touch Events is rooted in thoughtful design, seamless execution, and creating an elevated experience for both clients and their guests. I approach every event with a mindset of delivering excellence—ensuring that each celebration feels personal, intentional, and effortlessly executed from start to finish.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road which can be said for anything being built intentionally. One of my biggest challenges has been transitioning from planning events as a creative outlet to operating as a fully realized business. In my experience, having vision for where I want to be is easy but building the systems to match where I am going is a completely different thing! I’ve had to learn to be patient, lean on my community for support, and hold on to the faith that all my efforts will result in good success.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the standard we’re building as an advocacy-driven planning firm. In addition, I’m proud of our “Excellence by Design” framework used to ensure each detail is curated with excellence. If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
TYPE A! Haha! I grew up navigating through a lot of chaos which naturally pulled me towards controlling what I could – my grades, my choices, my life. As I grew older and developed language for my experiences, I realized I no longer had to operate from a place of control as a means of regulation. In the process of my unlearning and relearning more adaptive ways of being, I found great joy and excitement in channeling the strong points of my personality into planning, managing, and executing beautifully curated events.
