Elizabeth is a Korean-American and native of Northern Virginia. Her daily goal in life is to love God and to love others. Elizabeth graduated in 2003, with a B.A. in Fashion Merchandising from VCU’s School of Fashion Design & Merchandising in Richmond, VA.
Elizabeth from a young age has always been passionate about making a heartfelt difference in others lives.
Elizabeth’s been very fortunate throughout her career as a stylist, wedding and event planner and catering events manager. Her career began working in the fashion industry for high-end designer retailers and assisting the Fashion editor of Washington Life – DC’s socialite magazine producing photo shoots and fashion shows. She then went on to work for the Prince William County Chamber of Commerce in public relations, marketing and events. Her passion and talent for events grew and she was given the opportunity to work for The Washington Ballet, focusing on relationship development, event planning and fundraising for the organization. Her love for weddings grew as she worked for Ridgewells Catering, freelanced as a wedding planner since 2005, and later went on to serve hundreds of happy customers as the Senior Catering Events Manager for the Waterford at Fair Oaks and Waterford at Springfield venues.

With more than 20 years in the events industry, Elizabeth Kim brings extensive experience in planning, design, hospitality, PR, and operations. As Board Operations Manager for Hunt Country Celebrations, she supports organizational structure, unity, and growth. Elizabeth is passionate about collaboration as a way to elevate businesses, strengthen trust, and create meaningful, lasting celebrations for clients and communities alike.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
To get to where Elizabeth Kim is now, she has come along way and having an established award-winning Best Planner, Consultant and Coordination business there have been many adventures but each has made Elizabeth who she is today and made her passions stronger and shine brightly. Elizabeth is so grateful for these challenges and learning to float, swim, and rise above obstacles and challenges and lead others to see that the hardships in life and visions can truly become elevated heartfelt experiences and blessings. Heartfelt Events began almost 5 yrs ago but the last business the timing wasn’t right. When timing is right all things come together and there is favor on the path with each client and with the business overall. We are full of hope and know we can develop experiences that only be imagined for some but we can make it happen for all. .Thank you!
