Today we’d like to introduce you to Clarence Williams.
Hi Clarence, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always been motivated by the idea of taking ownership of my financial future. Early on, I realized that in a traditional job setting, income is largely defined by the employer, but when you develop skills that allow you to create value beyond a single role, you gain more control over your growth and opportunities.
My experience working within a church and Christian school environment played a major role in shaping that path. What began as more administrative and data-focused work gradually expanded as I looked for ways to be more effective and useful. I moved beyond basic data entry into broader responsibilities that included financial organization, systems improvement, and technical support.
Over time, I naturally grew into a hybrid role that combined administrative expertise, tech problem-solving, and financial organization. As the needs around me grew, I also found myself supporting areas like communication, marketing, and general business operations.
That progression helped me realize I enjoy building structure, improving systems, and helping organizations operate more efficiently. It’s also what has led me toward exploring broader opportunities in bookkeeping and business support, where I can continue to grow those skills in a more focused way.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Since consulting and finance work is built heavily on trust, it takes time to establish credibility and build a steady client base from the ground up.
The biggest challenge has been the early stage—learning new skills, building systems, and growing the business while income is still inconsistent. At the same time, I’ve had the responsibility of supporting my family and raising a child during that process.
As you know, we’re big fans of Think Creative Solutions. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My business, Think Creative Solutions, started from an idea to help people and organizations run more smoothly. I focus mainly on bookkeeping, administrative support, and improving business systems. Over time, I’ve also added services like marketing support, content creation, and workflow help.
A lot of my work is about making things more organized and efficient. I enjoy helping clients simplify what they do so they can focus more on their main goals.
What makes me different is how I got here. I built this from real experience in church and school settings, where I had to learn quickly and take on new responsibilities as needs came up. That helped me become flexible, practical, and solution-focused.
What I’m most proud of is building something from the ground up. I’ve learned most of it on my own and handled much of the work myself. I’ve enjoyed the process of learning and seeing real results from it.
Ultimately, I want people to know that my brand exists to glorify the Lord by serving others faithfully
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My wife has been my main support and she has done the important job of keeping me grounded from some of my lofty ideas.
