Inspiring Conversations with Camille “C.Jai” Scott of E. Rapport™

Today we’d like to introduce you to Camille “C.Jai” Scott.

Hi Camille, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Innate musicality and gumption are both nothing short of a blessing.

I was born into a musical family in Southern New Jersey and raised in North East Baltimore where I attended Baltimore School for the Arts as a percussion major. I and one other student were 2 out of 33 who auditioned. By my senior year, I was the first-chair percussionist, and an administrator recommended me for an instructor position at a local non-profit that brought music production to students in Baltimore City. Through my work, at the summer program, the director saw my potential and hired me to be a part of their permanent team.

After graduation, I attended CCBC Essex for the Music Production, Engineering, and Business Certificate program. The following year, I returned to Essex for the Real Estate Certificate program which led me into my real estate professional career. As an autodidact, I have been compelled to dive deep into financial literacy. I fell in love with real estate because of the lack of generational wealth within my own family and community.

I started my career in real estate because I am currently a humanitarian – aspiring philanthropist – who is willing to do whatever it takes to literally build up my community in as many ways as possible! All and all, I just want to make a difference, whether it be through a song or the world’s greatest commodity.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Initially, being a part of male-dominated industries seemed to be a bit of a challenge. But now, that same obstacle serves as pure motivation because I am inspiring other young women to step into their calling without the approval of modern-day society.

Most other challenges I face are mental. I am always having to be mindful of adjusting my mentality to see opportunities rather than waiting for miracles. As well as, reminding myself that all that I have is all that I need, and making something of it!

Most importantly, embracing who I really am has been an ongoing process. Not being concerned with how others label me, but rather focusing on growing my true character; physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Lastly, one of the greatest challenges of all; possessing the tenacity of successful leaders and ancestors who have paved the way.

We’ve been impressed with E. Rapport™, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Building Exceptional Rapport.

The tri-rhombi brand, E. Rapport™ symbolizes love, peace, and unity.

In order for us as a human race to achieve harmonious living, we must first build Exceptional Rapport™ with one another. Through this principle, we can set forth on building up our local communities. Then, gradually, we’ll begin to see a global paradigm shift. It is this profoundly optimistic vision that E. Rapport™ embodies.

Building Exceptional Rapport is more than just a slogan, it is a promise that re-establishes the brand’s founding values.

E. Rapport™ is personified through my work within our community. I currently serve as a real estate agent affiliated with Coldwell Banker Realty. I also serve as a piano/drums/music production instructor at a local non-profit, Beyond the Natural Foundation. Additionally, I am a professional musician a part of an all-Black women’s band, Upper Lefthand Corner.

My brand permeates throughout every aspect of my professional and personal life. I wholeheartedly believe its founding values will make our world a more love-filled place. Every day, I strive to epitomize Building Exceptional Rapport with any and all people I come into contact with throughout my day.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
First and foremost, I would like to thank my Lord God, and savior for the encouragement, friendship, and calling on my life.

Special thanks to my parents: Mom, Dad, Rev, biological Father, and beloved Step-Mother.
Thank you all for loving and investing in me.

I would also love to thank the following teachers of mine:

Mrs. Schmidt, my middle school mathematics teacher at Hamilton E/M; Mrs. Grouzard, my government/history teacher at BSA and Mr. John Locke, my percussion instructor also at BSA.

Thank you all for believing in me and pushing me to reach my maximum potential!

The lessons you all have taught will truly stick with me forever.
