Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Johnson.
Hi Victoria, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was recruited for a mortgage company straight out of college (Let’s Go Mountaineers!) where I began my career as a Loan Officer. I got my licenses, learned the business, got my feet wet and landed a fantastic opportunity to join my current company, Guaranteed Rate. This allowed me to expand my business and really run it on my own, along with gaining the ability to work with my fiance as my Realtor partner!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Nothing is ever a smooth road when you’re fulfilling your dreams! There are always ups and downs, especially in this industry. Learning how to source and run your own business while COVID shakes up the market as we know it is not easy, but it definitely made me a much stronger Loan Officer!

What sets me apart most and what I am known for is the passion I have for my career. I truly love seeing the joy on someone’s face when they get the keys to their first home or investment property, or the sighs of relief when I help someone save much-needed money through a refinance. Making people’s lives just a little bit easier or happier is something you just can’t explain. I will sit for hours explaining terms, figures, and why certain things are done so that you feel totally comfortable during your transaction. I’m definitely most proud of being self-sourced; my business is based on YOU having a stellar experience and telling your friends and family why they should work with me. The fact that I can sustain myself on the fact that people enjoy working with me is heartwarming.

You should work with someone who cares about you, and will stop at nothing to be sure your happiness is the number one priority.
