Today we’d like to introduce you to Styles By Faithh.
Hi Styles By Faithh, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve had a passion for hair for as long as I can remember. I started playing in my mom’s hair as early as two years old, and growing up with a father who is a barber and salon owner, I was always in that environment. Being a true “salon baby,” I was constantly surrounded by beauty, creativity, and entrepreneurship.
As I got older, that passion naturally grew. Throughout school, I loved experimenting with my own hair and makeup, and eventually, people began asking me to do theirs. By my sophomore year of high school, I already had a steady flow of clients booking me for prom and graduation, which is when I realized this was more than just a hobby, it was something I could truly turn into a career.
After high school, I attended Bowie State University for a year, but even during that time, my focus never shifted. I was still fully invested in doing hair, building my clientele, and growing my skills. I loved what I was doing, I was consistently booked, and I was already generating strong income from my services. At that point, I made the decision not to return and instead pursue my career in beauty full-time.
From there, I continued to evolve…expanding into content creating, makeup, wig making, and eventually launching my own hair extension brand. What started as a passion has grown into a business centered around quality, confidence, and helping women feel their absolute best.
Now, I’m stepping into a new phase where I not only provide services and products, but also plan to educate and mentor upcoming beauty entrepreneurs. I’m passionate about teaching others how to properly structure their business, maximize their income by offering hair with their services, and master techniques like wig construction so they can work smarter, not harder.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is finding balance between my personal life and my work life, while also making time for self-care. As a mother and entrepreneur, my schedule can be very demanding, and there have been times where I’ve experienced burnout or felt mentally overstimulated. In those moments, it can be difficult to show up at my highest level, but I’ve learned how important it is to slow down, reset, and pour back into myself so I can continue to grow both personally and professionally.
Another challenge has been learning how to properly manage and structure my finances as a business owner. Early on, it’s easy to focus on making money, but not necessarily on how it’s being tracked or positioned. I’ve had to learn the importance of creating a strong financial foundation, maintaining a clear paper trail, separating personal and business finances, and setting things up in a way that allows me to qualify for business funding, credit, and long-term growth opportunities.
These challenges have pushed me to become more disciplined, more intentional, and more focused on building not just a successful business, but a sustainable one.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success, to me, isn’t just about achievement, it’s about how you feel in your everyday life. It’s being at peace, feeling fulfilled, and knowing that you’re genuinely happy with the direction your life is going.
I also believe success is having the freedom to make choices for yourself. Not operating out of pressure or survival, but being able to move how you want because you’ve built a life that gives you that flexibility.
For me, success is deeply tied to legacy. It’s about being able to provide for my child now and creating something that will continue to benefit future generations. I want what I build to go beyond me and create long-term stability and opportunity.
Another part of success is impact…being able to help others, share knowledge, and make a difference in people’s lives in a way that carries on. I think true success shows in how it pours into others, not just what you gain for yourself.
Overall, success is having your life aligned, where your responsibilities are handled, your needs are met, and you have the space to actually enjoy what you’ve worked so hard to build.
