Today we’d like to introduce you to Paula Keehfus.
Paula, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
As a small child, I knew I was different. I had the ability to sense things that would happen before they occurred, and I had an ultra keen connection with the realm of energy around all forms of life on this planet. I never feared these abilities, but I didn’t openly share this part of myself with those outside my family, either.
At the age of twenty-two, I was suddenly stricken with an illness that, at the time, they labeled ‘Chronic Fatigue Syndrome’, which was later found to be mild auto-immune disease. After years of searching for a diagnosis, I took the advice of my chiropractor and looked into auto-immune diseases. As my curiosity about healing my body grew, I found I was excited by the thought that the mind could influence the body’s healing processes, just as it has the ability to influence the way the body copes with stress and poor self-care. I began to devour books by Caroline Myss, using her teachings to bring my body back to health & vitality.
In 1999, I was fortunate to cross paths with a woman from the UK in a Goddess Reclaiming chat room, and a year later we met in person so that she could teach me about an energy healing technique called Reiki. After this, my health truly took a turn for the better, as I channeled the Reiki to help myself and then others. A few years later, I began to teach Reiki for humans & animals. At the same time, I had introduced my Archetypes of the Goddess Oracle Stones to the public through eBay and was studying wellness coaching, crystal & color therapy, chakra analysis and spiritual counseling with a focus on grief and loss. My studies continued and deepened, and to this day, I continue to educate myself and others holistically, as well as offering intuitive consultations, medical intuition, spiritual direction, and Reiki to clients near and far.
As I look back over the last five or so decades of my life, I feel deep gratitude for the illness that, at the time, seemed as though it might put a damper on my life and the pursuit of my goals & dreams. In fact, it changed the course of my life dramatically, to a life of service & holistic wellness in numerous beautiful ways. I am constantly amazed at the transformations I witness in my clients’ lives, which in turn keeps me ever faithful to my path of healing people, animals, and the planet. I can’t imagine a more joyful life, not for a single moment!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a lovely road of twists and turns, self-discovery. Additionally, I have learned much about why people ask for healing and then reject it. I have met with both disdain and enthusiasm for my belief in positive self-talk and my insistence that the mind gives the body its instructions through a delicate process of chemical triggers and reactions. I always allow clients to decide for themselves just how much control they would like to have over their own healing processes, though. I feel that the majority of society would still prefer to treat an illness after it has occurred, with a pill or surgery, rather than opting for the path of preventative wellness. I am an advocate of integrated health and do hope that at some point in the not too distant future, both holistic and traditional health care will become everyday rather than a rarity.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Sacred Vessel Healing Arts?
I have been in business since 2000 and started my endeavor with a small Reiki & crystal healing practice, as well as offering crystals for purchase online. I built a small website to market my offerings, and steadily my business grew into a practice of offering Reiki for both humans and animals, as well as teaching Reiki to students. I studied spiritual direction, wellness coaching and medical intuition shortly thereafter, expanding my practice to include these offerings to clients, and created three trademarked stone oracle sets which I have offered at my online shop, as well as on Etsy, eBay and my website, Sacred Vessel Healing Arts. I offer intuitive readings, spiritual counseling and direction, energy healing sessions, mediumship, wellness coaching, spiritual gifts & brand specific candles, stones and Archangel-related items at my website and in person. My path is spiritual rather than religious, and I believe that humanity must reach a deeper acceptance of the idea we are all one in order for our planet to thrive, I am most proud of my ability to affect the lives of those I interact within a positive manner, and it is my life’s goal to be of service to this world through holistic healing and enlightening energy exchange.
