Today we’d like to introduce you to Martin Greenblatt

Hi Martin, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started out as a client in this business. Hair replacement is very personal and private. As a customer, I needed to feel confident and safe about how my hair looked. I didn’t want a fake look as I was in Corporate America at the time. Image was important as well as ability and competency in my job.
Over time I became friendly with the owners of this establishment. The business had problems and needed new ideas, proper expense management and a better marketing approach. I decided to join the firm as the managing partner and went to work immediately. We had antiquated marketing processes, a limited supply network, poor expense management and too many bosses with not enough workers. I clearly bit off more than I could chew.
I cut expenses, found new suppliers, paid off old debt and took no vacation for 8 years.
In that time I bought out the principals, created a debt free business, found better suppliers, and expanded our marketing approach. We did television, radio, print direct mail and web based advertising.
Thirty five years later, we are the Middle Atlantic leader in hair restoration for men and women with cutting technology and a trend setter in our industry.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a rough road. My prior staff set up shop in my old location and tried to compete with me. I had to move the business as my landlord raised the rent unrealistically. My ex-partner committed suicide. I had so much debt to pay off that I didn’t take a paycheck for a few years. It was a pronounced fear of failure, not success, that drove me.

As you know, we’re big fans of Eldorado Hair Replacement Center. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We provide non surgical solutions for men and women suffering from hair loss due to heredity, medical induced thinning, alopecia, and cosmetic consequences. We have been in business since 1968 and have won numerous awards nationally, as well as had exposure on TV, radio and print. We have a good internet presence and have participated in national trade shows, consumer panels and interviews.
We take a technical approach to solving individual needs and don’t “overmarket” our services. We have contacts throughout Europe and Asia to keep up to date on changing trends regularly. We offer a comprehensive approach to solving hair challenges through non surgical hair replacement, laser light therapy, hair restoration surgery, PRP and other homeopathic remedies.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
We have over 100 years cumulative experience in this industry. We have private rooms for confidentiality and can evaluate all hair types. We have overseas clients and also have a complete wig shop for people undergoing chemotherapy as well.
