Today we’d like to introduce you to Khadee Roberts.
Hi Khadee, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up in an environment where emotions were not named, processed, or modeled. Like many families navigating underprivileged circumstances, survival came first, and emotional awareness simply was not part of the conversation. The struggle was real, and we learned to keep moving without being shown how to channel the emotions and energy that naturally come with life’s challenges.
I became a mother very young at 17, which brought its own set of hardships, stress, and responsibility while I was still figuring out who I was. My sister also had children young, so we navigated those early years together, raising children while we were still children ourselves. During that time, journaling became my quiet outlet. I did not have language for what I was feeling, but writing in blank journals gave me a place to release, process, and survive.
Over time, I worked relentlessly and built a successful career in corporate America. From the outside, I reached a comfortable place professionally, but it came at the cost of significant mental stress. Therapy was not something I recognized as an option then, not because it lacked value, but because in working long strenuous hours, it seemed unreachable, and unfeasible. Again, I turned to writing as a way to cope.
In 2023, tragedy struck when my sister passed away. Grief introduced emotions I could not ignore or compartmentalize, and I found myself without an outlet or community that truly understood what I was experiencing. Once again, I wrote. Journaling became the place where I could say what I could not say out loud.
Not long after, I reached a point of burnout in corporate America and began actively manifesting a different life, one rooted in alignment, purpose, and mental well-being. Journaling was no longer just a coping mechanism. It became a tool for clarity, intention, and rebuilding. That process is what ultimately led to the creation of Lune & Line.
I created Lune & Line to offer guided journals specifically designed around life’s hardships, including grief, self-worth, transitions, and rebuilding. Each journal is intentionally focused on a specific experience, providing structure, prompts, and activities that help people write through their emotions and reflect in a meaningful way. These journals do not replace therapy, but they serve as a powerful companion, something people can use between sessions or when therapy is not accessible.
Today, I am a firm believer in therapy and actively use it myself. I also raise my children very differently than I was raised. I encourage emotional awareness, open expression, and emphasize the importance of mental health support. Lune & Line exists as an extension of that belief, that everyone deserves tools to understand themselves better.
The power of physical writing has existed for centuries, yet it is often underutilized in a world dominated by technology. My goal is to keep that practice relevant, accessible, and impactful by giving people a tangible way to work through their individual journeys, one page at a time.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not. The road has been anything but smooth.
I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit, and Lune & Line is actually my seventh endeavor. For a long time, I struggled with imposter syndrome. Even when I had ideas and momentum, I would retreat back to corporate America for comfort and security. It felt safer, especially when confidence wavered.
Reaching this stage of my life required trusting my instincts more than my fear. I realized that clarity does not come before action. It comes through action. Launching Lune & Line was less about having everything figured out and more about finally committing to what I knew I was meant to build.
The business is still in its early stages, and that comes with its own challenges. There are days with no sales, days when it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and moments where doubt tries to creep back in. What keeps me grounded is the belief that the life and future I want cannot be built by playing it safe.
I know that fulfillment, freedom, and alignment will only come from building something I truly believe in and want to show up for every single day. That belief is what continues to push me forward, even when the road feels uncertain.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Lune & Line is a guided journal brand created to support people through real life transitions. We design journals that help individuals process emotions, gain clarity, and reflect during some of the hardest seasons of life, including grief, rebuilding self-worth, major change, burnout, and personal reinvention.
What we specialize in is specificity. Each Lune & Line journal is centered around a particular life experience rather than generic prompts or surface-level positivity. The structure is intentional and practical, offering writing prompts and activities that help people work through what they are actually feeling, not what they think they should feel. Our journals are designed to be used at a person’s own pace and revisited whenever life calls for it.
What truly sets Lune & Line apart is our approach. We are not a “woo-woo” wellness brand. We are humble, grounded, and honest about the fact that life can be incredibly hard. We do not promise instant healing or quick fixes. We understand that life can be messy, overwhelming, and unfair, and our goal is simply to create tools that help people navigate the difficult parts with a little more clarity and self-compassion.
Our journals are not meant to replace therapy. We strongly believe in therapy and mental health support. Instead, Lune & Line exists as a companion, something people can turn to between sessions or when therapy is not accessible. We focus on the power of physical writing, which has been used for centuries as a way to process emotion, slow the mind, and create understanding, yet is often overlooked in a technology-driven world.
What I am most proud of brand-wise is the integrity behind what we create. Every product is rooted in lived experience, not trends. Lune & Line is built with intention, care, and respect for the fact that everyone’s journey looks different. There is no pressure to be positive, healed, or “fixed” here. Just supported.
What I want readers to know is that Lune & Line is for real people living real lives. Our journals are tools you can pick up when you need them and put down when you are done, without judgment. The brand exists to meet people where they are and help them move forward in a way that feels honest, grounded, and human.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Discipline, ambition, persistence, and organization have been the most important qualities behind my success. Discipline keeps me moving forward even when motivation fades. Ambition pushes me to aim higher than what feels comfortable. Persistence allows me to keep going through setbacks, slow seasons, and uncertainty. Organization gives structure to the chaos and allows ideas to turn into execution. Together, these qualities create momentum, even when the path is not clear.
