Hidden Gems: Meet Kelley Kirchberg of Divine Style

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelley Kirchberg.

Hi Kelley, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My path into styling began with a strong foundation in Fashion Merchandising, which I studied as an undergraduate. I was always drawn to the intersection of fashion, branding, and how personal image shapes confidence and perception. After graduating, I built a successful career in business development and marketing, gaining valuable experience in strategy, branding, and client relationships. While I enjoyed the fast-paced nature of that work, I found myself continually drawn back to fashion and the more personal side of image and style—especially the impact it can have on confidence, presence, and how people show up professionally and personally.

That pull led me to merge my business background with my passion for fashion, launching Divine Style so I could work one-on-one with clients and businesses to transform and curate their image. Over the years, I’ve styled fashion shows, runway presentations, and fashion events, while also building a deeply personalized styling practice that includes closet edits, personal shopping, and image consulting for both men and women. Today, my work focuses on helping individuals and brands feel confident, polished, and authentically themselves—using style as a strategic tool for self-expression and success.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road, and like most small, woman-owned businesses, there have been challenges along the way. Economic shifts in certain years have had a real impact on both clients’ spending habits and the fashion industry as a whole. More recently, changes in tariffs and global sourcing have created additional complexities when shopping for and securing high-quality clothing, shoes, and accessories from abroad—requiring flexibility, creativity, and strong relationships with brands and retailers.

At the same time, the way we work with clients has evolved dramatically. When I began styling clients over 15 years ago, I created **custom-bound, paper lookbooks** by hand—beautiful but time-intensive. Today, the industry has moved rapidly into digital platforms, mobile styling apps, and now AI-driven tools. Staying current has meant continuously learning, adapting, and investing in new technologies while still maintaining the highly personal, hands-on service my clients expect. Navigating these changes hasn’t always been easy, but embracing innovation while staying true to my core values has allowed Divine Style to grow, evolve, and continue delivering meaningful, elevated styling experiences.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Divine Style?
Divine Style is a luxury personal styling and image consulting company built on the belief that style should feel intentional, personal, and empowering. What sets us apart is our deeply tailored approach—we don’t simply style outfits or shop, we assess each client’s wardrobe, lifestyle, and goals to truly understand who they are and how they want to show up in the world. From there, we help clients define their personal style, learn how to dress for it, and understand how wearing their ideal colors can enhance their presence, confidence, and overall image.

We specialize in bespoke wardrobe curation and elevated personal shopping experiences. Our services range from in-depth closet edits and one-on-one styling sessions to highly curated shopping experiences—whether that’s **private, closed-boutique appointments**, in-home personal fittings complete with music, cocktails, or beverages, or even collaborative experiences featuring private chefs for truly memorable styling moments. Every detail is intentional, designed to make the process both enjoyable and effortless while delivering exceptional results.

One of the aspects we’re most proud of is how we’ve integrated technology without losing personalization. Through our mobile styling app, clients can view their wardrobe digitally and access styled outfit suggestions for every lifestyle occasion—from everyday casual wear to professional settings, travel, and special events. This takes the guesswork out of getting dressed and allows clients to feel confident every day. In addition to personalized services, we also offer style resources that clients and prospective clientele can purchase, extending our expertise beyond one-on-one sessions.

Ultimately, Divine Style is known for blending luxury, education, and practicality. We want readers to know that our brand is about more than clothing—it’s about helping people feel confident, prepared, and authentically themselves through thoughtful styling, curated experiences, and a modern approach to personal image.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I view risk as something to be approached intentionally and thoughtfully, rather than avoided altogether. Building and growing Divine Style has required a willingness to evolve—whether that’s adapting to shifts in the fashion industry, changing client expectations, or new ways of delivering services. One of the more significant risks I’ve taken has been implementing new technologies into the client experience. Moving from traditional, hands-on tools to digital platforms, mobile styling apps, and now navigating emerging AI has required careful planning to ensure ease of use, a seamless experience, and continued personalization. The risk is always that technology can feel impersonal—but when done well, it enhances efficiency and elevates the client experience.

Another area where risk requires balance is in developing brand and design partnerships. These collaborations can be incredibly valuable when aligned properly, but Divine Style’s priority is always ensuring that client needs come first. I approach partnerships cautiously—evaluating whether they genuinely enhance the styling experience and deliver real value for both clients and collaborating brands. I would say I’m not risk-averse, but also not reckless. Divine Style aims to stay ahead of business and fashion trends while being strategic in how changes are introduced. For me, risk is about measured growth—testing thoughtfully, listening closely, and ensuring that every decision strengthens the brand, supports clients, and sustains long-term success.
