I (Keara Williams) am a creator and storyteller who is passionate about positively shaping the lives of youth in my community through writing. While working as a Pre-K Teacher’s Assistant after my undergraduate studies, I quickly discovered my love for nurturing and inspiring children mentally and emotionally. I witnessed firsthand the power of mentorship coupled with education inside and outside of the classroom.
I (Keara) began seeking opportunities to reach children in non-conventional ways, leading me to begin writing children’s books. Through my writing, I tell stories that encourage readers to tap into their inner strengths and values as they seek to achieve their goals and prepare for many of life’s challenges. My primary objective as an author is to cultivate a sense of empowerment through words while instilling self-confidence in every reader.
I (Keara) is the founder of Believing In My Growth (B.I.M.G), LLC, which has the motto “Empowering Youth For A Better Tomorrow-Because Your Words Have Power.” B.I.M.G aims to improve student cognition and emotional development, foster strong leadership capability, and enhance comprehension skills.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but the challenges have been meaningful and motivating What inspired me to write “The Power in Me” for kids ages 3-12, was seeing how much children’s emotional worlds changed after COVID-19. The shift in learning, routines, and social interactions made it harder for many kids to express what they were feeling. I wanted to create a resource that offered comfort, language, and empowerment—something that reminded them that their feelings matter and their words are powerful.
Along the way, I faced the normal challenges that come with starting something new—learning the publishing process, shaping the message, and staying committed through moments of uncertainty. But each challenge reminded me why my purpose is so important. The need I saw in children kept me grounded and determined to bring the vision of Mental Health Affirmations for Kids to life.

What sets B.I.M.G apart is my intentional approach to combining emotional development with creativity. I don’t just teach affirmations—I create experiences that help children feel them. I pay close attention to how visuals, language, and movement come together to support kids who may not yet have the words to explain what they’re feeling. My work is deeply rooted in authenticity, lived experience, and a genuine passion for helping children grow through positive self-talk. I’m not just creating products; I’m building tools that help shape emotional strength, confidence, and leadership in the next generation.
What are you most proud brand-wise?
I am most proud of Mighty Me (Mascot), the superhero character who brings the entire message of the brand to life. Mighty Me, gives children a visual and emotional connection to the affirmations in the book, making the learning experience both memorable and empowering. Seeing kids light up when they meet Mighty Me—whether in the book, in person, or through activities—reminds me that the brand is doing exactly what it was created to do: inspire children to see the power within themselves. Mighty Me, represents courage, growth, and positivity, and I am proud that this character has become a source of joy and motivation for so many young readers.

That foundation is the reason behind my book and my entire brand—it’s about helping children believe in their ability to grow and succeed.
