Hi Jennifer, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I didn’t grow up thinking I would be a business owner, but I always knew I wanted something more for myself and my family. My parents came to the United States and worked in the janitorial industry, and I grew up watching how hard they worked every single day. Seeing their sacrifices really stayed with me and planted a seed early on.
Over time, that turned into the idea of starting something of my own. It was scary at first, being the first in my family to take that step, but I knew I wanted to build something that could grow and create opportunities, not just for me, but for my family too. I also wouldn’t have been able to do this without my husband—his encouragement and constant support gave me the confidence to really go for it.
Becoming a business owner has given me something really special. It’s not just about the work, it’s about having the flexibility to be present with my kids and show them what’s possible. I want them to see that with hard work and courage, you can create your own path. In a way, I feel like I’m continuing my parents’ story, while building something meaningful alongside my husband and creating a new chapter for the next generation.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it was far from a smooth road. Being the first in my family to own a business came with challenges I hadn’t fully anticipated. I was balancing a full-time job while running the business on weekends and nights, cleaning, operating, and keeping everything going, all while pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources.
My family didn’t see me much during that time, and that was one of the hardest parts. But I knew that building something meaningful required real sacrifice, and I was willing to make it. I understood from the beginning that this journey wouldn’t be easy, and that pushing through, educating myself, working hard, and staying committed was the only way to make it work.
Looking back, every late night and missed moment was worth it.
We’ve been impressed with Flores Cleans For U,LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are a professional janitorial and cleaning service proudly serving both residential and commercial clients. Whether it’s a cozy home that needs a refresh or a bustling office that requires consistent upkeep, we show up with the same dedication, attention to detail, and care every single time.
What we specialize in is deep cleaning and sanitization, going beyond the surface to create spaces that are truly clean, healthy, and safe for the people who live and work in them. From kitchens and bathrooms to conference rooms and common areas, we make sure no corner is overlooked.

First and foremost, I have to give credit to my husband. He encouraged me to take this leap and believed in this business even before I fully did. While I was putting in the hours to build something from nothing, he stepped up and supported our family without hesitation. I could not have done this without him by my side.
My family has also been a huge part of this journey. They have always been there to help and pitch in whenever I needed an extra hand. Having people around you who show up without being asked means everything when you are building a business.
And my kids, they are my biggest cheerleaders. Every time I land a new client, they celebrate with me. They give me that thumbs up that reminds me exactly why I am doing this. They have even helped me with the business along the way, and that means more to me than words can express.
Beyond my family, my clients deserve so much credit too. Every person who trusted me with their home or their business gave me the opportunity to prove myself and grow. Those early clients who took a chance on me helped build the foundation of everything I have today. Their loyalty, referrals, and kind words kept me going on the hard days.
