Today we’d like to introduce you to Enica Barnes.
Hi Enica, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Neighbors Diverse Community was born in 2021 when we were in search of more space to build our community and create opportunities for creative entrepreneurs to thrive and grow.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Building community is not an easy task, especially when actively trying to keep everyone in alignment with our vision and passion for growth.
As creatives, many of us become discouraged by certain outcomes or are fearful to take risks. At Neighbors DC, we proudly take on the responsibility to showcase our best selves, so that the creative entrepreneurs in our community are inspired to do the same thing!
Challenges are improvements yearning to be met.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Neighbors Diverse Community is a community-rooted pop-up and creative hive for small, local, and independent brands in the DMV and beyond.
We share space, network, and promote each other’s businesses, all while offering opportunities for brands to thrive and grow! See us as an immersive “shop small” experience, where you will be able to find unique gifts and even treat yourself to handcrafted goods, made by local entrepreneurs.
For updates on all Neighbors DC opportunities, interested entrepreneurs should follow us on IG and submit brand information on neighborsdc.com.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What I love about Baltimore is the culture and capacity for a breakthrough, but many communities are underserved and underfunded.
