Hi Diamond, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hello, my name is Diamond Washington! I am 29 years old located in Baltimore, Maryland! I was born and raised in Neptune, New Jersey where my journey began. I am a licensed tax professional of 7 years as well as a licensed cosmetologist for 12 years that specializes in beauty locs. My journey started in Neptune where I worked in multiple salons under different owners where I had the ability to perfect my craft. In 2018 I decided to search on indeed and discovered 1 800 quick tax which later led me to get licensed & start preparing taxes with the company. Working with Jamie has truly been a joy since day one. He has pushed me to higher levels, always believed in me, inspires me & till this day we are like one big family, I love them so much! I’m forever grateful for the opportunity, I can’t see myself working for another company. A lot of people always ask why I don’t just do taxes on my own; although it sounds good but honestly I have everything I need working with Quick tax they are always there for me so as long as they are in business, I don’t see myself moving on from them. Moving to Maryland in 2021 was definitely a challenge for me being away from home and my close family but I knew it was what I needed to truly advance in my life the way I envision it. Working different jobs in management positions equipped me to being the business owner I am today.
I always knew I wanted to be a salon owner but in December of 2024, DiamondzAreForever was officially created; my own one stop shop! A place you can come in and get your taxes filed as well as getting your hair done by a professional! The best of both worlds! My entire journey has brought me to where I am today and I am excited to where it brings me in my future!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
By the grace of God, this has been a smooth road. There will always be setbacks when you are trying to create greatness but the road has been smooth. The most difficult process in this whole journey so far was finding the name for my business. It was a little difficult trying to combine preparing taxes and doing hair but after taking her necessary time and a lot of prayer I was able to come up with the name, DiamondzAreForever,
I can say another challenge would be having to do everything on your own when you are first starting out and although it can be a challenge when you are the only one it becomes very rewarding to know you are the one putting in all the work to creating your business!

DiamondzAreForever is a one stop shop! This one stop shop is for individuals to come in and get their taxes filed during tax season and also come in to the shop to get their hair done by a licensed cosmetologist! I specialize in beauty locs for men and women which is loc maintenance for men and women and loc extensions for the women! What sets me apart from others is having two in one! The best of both worlds. I am a individual that cares about her clients for taxes and hair, I am in this business to build long term clients not just a quick fix. What also sets me apart from others is, I am here to provide knowledge to my clients that they may not be aware of. I am most proud of my ability to put it all together, to see and excel the vision at hand!

Something surprising about me is I am a soft body behind a hard shell! A lot of people see the after results of working hard in a business but, they don’t see the long days, sleepless nights, nights of crying. A lot happens behind closed doors that a lot of people would be surprised to know that it actually does happen.
