Hi Clayton, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
If my memory serves me correctly we started Spring/Summer of 2019. We started by sharing local pet photos on social media Instagram/Facebook/Twitter etc.
Then we thought it would be a great idea to start a local website where local pet businesses can showcase their local pet service while pet owners can have a website where they can showcase their pet as well as connect with other pet owners and pet services.
Think of it as a local Yelp for the DMV area pet community.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We have definitely have had our share of ups and downs. In 2020, we wanted to do a lot of meets and greet events but due to COVID, that has changed our approach slightly.
The one good thing is that since we are mainly an online community we have still been able to keep the engagement high with the DMV area pet community.

DMVPets is a local pet community for the Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia Market. Our goal is to be a bridge between the local DMV area pet community and local pet services.
