Hidden Gems: Meet Christina Setliff of Snakebyte Social

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Setliff.

Hi Christina, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Snakebyte started long before it had a name. I studied psychology and communications, then spent years working in media, editing, creating content, and learning firsthand what makes people actually pay attention. Danny came from the design and creative side, and when we decided to build Snakebyte together, we were very intentional about creating the kind of agency we felt was missing. Psychology became the foundation of everything. We wanted to understand why someone trusts one brand over another, why certain visuals communicate value before a word is even read, and what makes people stop, feel something, and remember. That’s really where our definition of luxury comes from. To us, luxury isn’t just beautiful branding or expensive production. It’s the level of thought behind every detail. In the beginning, Danny and I did everything ourselves, and we put an insane amount of time into developing our approach and proving that it worked. Since then, we’ve built a team, created campaigns that have reached millions organically, and grown Snakebyte into something much larger than social media management. We’re building brands from a psychological perspective, where the creative is beautiful, but nothing is there just to be beautiful. Everything has a reason.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
In some ways, yes, and in some ways, absolutely not. Everything about building a business is a learning process, but we’ve always been very confident in what we do and the direction we’re taking Snakebyte. Our growth has been incredibly fast, and statistically, we’ve grown at a pace that puts us ahead of many agencies. But that growth has come with an enormous amount of work behind it. There have been plenty of days where Danny and I start at 9 in the morning and realize it’s suddenly 2 AM, and we’ve barely stopped outside of bathroom breaks. We care a lot about what we’re building, sometimes probably too much, and we’re extremely consistent. I think that consistency is one of the biggest reasons Snakebyte has grown the way it has. We don’t wait until we feel inspired or motivated. We show up, we study what’s changing, we refine what we do, and we keep going. There’s nothing effortless about building Snakebyte, but I think the best businesses are the ones that make all of that work look effortless from the outside.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Snakebyte Social is a luxury content, branding and marketing agency built around one idea: a brand should never have to choose between looking incredible and actually performing. We specialize in content creation, but we don’t stop when the camera turns off. We build the brand around the content, develop the strategy, schedule and manage it, and make sure everything feels cohesive from the first impression to the final post. Most agencies are exceptional in one lane. They may create beautiful content but leave you to figure out what to do with it, or they understand branding but don’t actually produce or manage the content. Snakebyte was intentionally built to bring all three together: content, branding and management.

What makes us a luxury agency isn’t simply high-quality production. It’s the psychology behind it. We study how people perceive value, what creates trust, what holds attention and what makes a brand memorable, then apply that thinking to the creative decisions we make. There’s a reason behind the visual, the wording, the positioning and the strategy. And we hold ourselves to the same standard. We’ve invested heavily into building and branding Snakebyte itself because we believe an agency should be living proof of what it sells. Our own brand is one of the things I’m most proud of.

We primarily work with clients through monthly tiers, which allows us to become deeply involved in their brand rather than just handing over a few pieces of content and disappearing. A large portion of our work is in the medical space, where strategy, trust and attention to detail matter immensely, but we work across industries. Ultimately, what I want people to understand about Snakebyte is that we aren’t trying to be the agency that does one thing well. We built Snakebyte to do the entire thing exceptionally well.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I think the biggest thing we’d want readers to know is that Snakebyte is incredibly personal to us. We didn’t build it to be another agency, and we’re not interested in becoming one. Danny and I are still deeply involved in the creative direction, strategy and details behind the brands we work with, even as our team grows. We’re also constantly studying, learning and evolving because marketing changes every day, and we think the second you believe you know everything is when you start falling behind. We have very big plans for Snakebyte, but we’re being intentional about how we get there. We’d rather build something with a distinct point of view, a reputation and real longevity than grow just for the sake of saying we grew. At the end of the day, our name is attached to everything we put out, and we take that very seriously.
