Hidden Gems: Meet Candace Parrish of Charm City Hair Studio and Down the Aisle in Style

Today we’d like to introduce you to Candace Parrish.

Hi Candace, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began my cosmetology career in 2006 in Frederick, MD. I relocated to Baltimore in 2008 and have been in Baltimore ever since. I started Down the Aisle in Style Wedding Hair and Makeup in 2014. I opened Charm City Hair Studio in 2016. We are celebrating our 10 year anniversary this July!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There are always struggles when working hard to create and sustain a business you love. The pandemic was challenging, but we persevered.

We’ve been impressed with Charm City Hair Studio and Down the Aisle in Style, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I own and operate Charm City Hair Studio. At our boutique salon, we specialize in custom color, highlights, balayage, dimensional color,and cuts.

I also own and operate Down the Aisle in Style Wedding Hair and Makeup. We are a luxury bridal hair and makeup company, offering on site and in studio services.

Candace, Owner, specializes in formal styling, highlighting, and precision cutting.

Courtney, Senior Stylist, specializes in dimensional color, balayage, lived in color, and cutting.

Veronica, Stylist, specializes in custom vivid colors, formal styling, and cutting.

Hannah, Makeup Artist, specializes in airbrush and standard bridal makeup applications.

Isabelle, Makeup Artist, specializes in soft glam bridal as well as airbrush and special event makeup applications.
