Hidden Gems: Meet Camaren Eure of Glam By Cam LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Camaren Eure.

Hi Camaren, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I always knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur. By my senior year of high school, I had already worked over 15 different jobs—but I kept quitting, not because I didn’t want to work, but because deep down I knew I wanted to be my own boss. I began making wigs in highschool then transitioned to doing ponytails and selling lash strips my freshman year on campus. My school year was abruptly cut short due to Covid therefore I moved back home with no job or way to make money. A former classmate from high school was hosting a sale for a lash class and I decided to take the class. Little did I know how far that lash class would take me and my business. Little did I know, that one decision would completely change the direction of my business and my life. What started as a hustle turned into a passion and a growing brand that’s still evolving today.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Entrepreneurship has not been easy. It’s an ongoing battle of improving and adapting to social trends and customer needs. One of my biggest challenges was trying to balance schoolwork while running a business. In 2021, I made the difficult decision to take a break from school because everything was becoming too overwhelming.

That time away allowed me to rest, reset, and refocus. I used that period to reevaluate how I wanted to run my business and to define the values and principles that Glam By Cam stands on.

There have been real setbacks—like dealing with crooked landlords while renting space, unexpected inventory losses, and more. But I chose to see every obstacle as a learning experience. Of course, there have been moments of discouragement, but even when I feel discouraged, I’m still thinking of ways to improve—whether it’s my services, my systems, or how to grow as a business owner and leader.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Glam By Cam is a Black-owned business founded in 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Born from a deep passion for beauty, creativity, and empowerment, Glam By Cam was created to provide high-quality beauty products and services that emphasizes individuality and self-expression.

What started as a dream during one of the most challenging times in history has since grown into a thriving brand dedicated to serving my community. At Glam By Cam, we believe in enhancing natural beauty while promoting confidence from the inside out. Our mission is to offer products and experiences that inspire our clients to feel bold, beautiful, and unstoppable.

We specialize in services like lash extensions, piercings, and beauty accessories including jewelry—all offered with a focus on quality, affordability, and accessibility. Beauty should be for everyone, and our goal is to make luxury-level care feel approachable.

One of the things I’m most proud of is how far the brand has come—especially considering how it began, as a side hustle in my bedroom during the pandemic. Today, Glam By Cam stands as a symbol of resilience, passion, and purpose. Beyond just growing a loyal client base, I’ve built a community that values authenticity, consistency, and professionalism.

What truly sets Glam By Cam apart is the personal touch. I make it a priority to build genuine relationships with every client. I believe in educating customers, offering honest communication, and creating a welcoming, judgment-free space where people feel seen, heard, and cared for.

At its core, Glam By Cam is more than just a beauty brand—it’s a movement. We’re committed to being a positive force in the community by uplifting others through our work, advocacy, and commitment to social impact. Rooted in resilience and driven by creativity, Glam By Cam continues to grow as a brand that inspires, empowers, and leads with heart.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
With no risk, there’s no reward. I’ve taken risks that made me uncomfortable—like spending my entire week’s income on a new product that may or may not sell, or making the leap to move into my own suite. But I believe that’s what growth requires.

You have to be willing to invest in yourself, even when the outcome isn’t guaranteed. Playing it safe can keep you stuck. If you stay in one place too long, you’ll become stationary—and in business, that means you’re not evolving. Every risk I’ve taken has taught me something and pushed me one step closer to where I want to be.
