Hi Bobbie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started my business, Raw and Healthy LLC, in the midst of the pandemic in 2020. Many people ask how I began, and I always say that God literally placed it in my hands. During the pandemic, I prioritized staying healthy, strengthening my immune system, and avoiding overeating. Growing up, my mom never believed in medicine, and to this day, I rarely take it. We’ve always relied on home remedies with herbs, spices, fruits, and vegetables. This journey led me to researching juice cleanses, immune-boosting recipes, fresh fruit recipes, weight loss recipes, and more.
I shared the flavors I created at home on social media, and soon, my followers began asking if they could try them. As I gained customers and more people showed interest, I found myself juicing every week, from single orders to bulk orders. I’ve seen customers lose up to 8-9 pounds from my 3-day cleanse. People come to pop-up shops to get their hands on my juices, and I’ve shipped orders throughout Maryland, DC, Virginia, New York and beyond. As of today, my 3 day cleanse is a top seller because the results speak for themselves plus the dedication of the customer!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely not, being an entrepreneur always has its ups and downs. My main struggles are really consistency and content. Although I have a business, I’m also a full-time social worker. Balancing our youth, babies, and striving to promote a healthy lifestyle can be tough. I often explain to people that social media and pictures only show the beauty of a moment or a project, but in reality, there’s so much that happens behind the scenes. With juicing, it requires more than just fruit, vegetables, and a juicer. It’s a very meticulous business, and you have to be extremely careful when selling products that people consume. One wrong ingredient can ruin an entire order. It takes time and dedication.
In the grand scheme of things, I’m really a perfectionist, which is why I struggle with content. I know the saying, “just start” or “just post,” and I try to follow that sometimes. But it almost makes me cringe when the content doesn’t flow right. Then I ask myself, who really cares? Fighting between these two thoughts can be difficult.
So, as I continue to grow my business and figure out this content creation thing, I want to share that I am incredibly grateful for each person who has shared my business with their family, friends, or strangers by word of mouth. If you made purchases from me, I appreciate you so much!

Raw and Healthy is a Black-owned business run by Bobbie Jones. I am the CEO, founder, content creator, investor and more. It’s a one-woman show. Raw and Healthy specializes in organic fruit and vegetable juices with no added sugar, sweeteners, or pesticides.
What sets me apart is the affordability and my customer service. In a society where inflation is high and costs are rising, I understand the struggle because I live through it like everyone else. Having a business that allows people to stay healthy without breaking the bank makes me feel good. Often, people aim to be healthier but find organic products and healthier options more expensive at the grocery store. As a result, they might settle for less healthy options.
As I mentioned earlier about my career in social work, providing excellent customer service comes naturally to me. I move with love, kindness, peace, and respect, and I treat my clientele with the same respect they show me. You know the saying, “Treat people how you want to be treated.”
More than anything, I’m proud that people see results from my products. They taste the natural flavors and return for more. There’s nothing like spending your money on something that meets your expectations and feeling satisfied with your purchase. I’ll never forget when a customer sent her friend to a pop-up shop to purchase juices because she couldn’t make it herself. Hearing, “I came to the pop-up shop only for you,” is an unforgettable feeling.
