Hi Big Kahuna, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My Name is Angelique, better know as BK or Big Kahuna from Southeast DC, Washingtonian. I am a business owner Big Kahuna LLC Google me. Growing up wasn’t so bad my mother had five children always made a way for us. As, a child I always had fun, we use to go a lot of places She is a great mother she kept us clean and feed. As an adult my mother still has my back, and she doesn’t play about her daughter. I grew up in Geraldine Southeast and Barry Farm Community. I am a rapper, singer and songwriter my career started when I was 19 years old, I never looked back after that. As I got older is when I started to struggle I was in and out of shelters with my two children at the time I was 19-22 years old. It was a hard road for my family and I and I promised as a woman I was going do better. I enrolled back in school and got my GED when I was 27 years old, that was my biggest milestone ever in my life. October of 2025 my oldest brother died from cancer, it put me in a depression state of mind. My Cousin Tymesha, and my friend Juanice was here for me ever step of the way for my grieving journey. I am so grateful for them and my family. My life started to get better and my music started to get the recognition it deserves. I gained a great management team, shoutout to BO real speaks TRUTH. I always gained popular celebrity friends and government officials. Such as Trayon white, Bipple, Style Channel, and Shareefa. I continue to grind hard so my children and I will never have to struggle again. Consistency is key, and i am grateful that I have the opportunity to live out my dreams and also make money doing what I love.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Right now my biggest obstacle is me, and what I mean by that is keeping my foot on these krankers necks.

Outside of my Music career. I am a fashion designer I make hand-made clothes from head to toe. I customize shoes as well. I make picture pendants of yourbloved one you wish to honor. I teach business 101 classes for any entrepreneurs that want to go legit. I am in College for my Associates Degree in Marketing, so I can be ahead of the digital world we leave in today.
