Today we’re excited to be connecting with Juliette Jave again. We’re excited to feature one of their services in our gift guide – learn more below and we encourage you to use your gift budget to support small businesses & creatives whenever possible.

Juliette, thanks for joining us again. We’re so excited to have a services focused conversation today. Can you bring our readers up to speed on the service-offering side?
Hi, my name is Juliette Jave, and I’m a nail artist based in Towson, Maryland. I specialize in Gel-X sets, intricate nail art, and French tip pedicures. My goal is to deliver high-quality nail care and designs that make my clients feel confident and pampered.

This holiday season, I’m excited to offer a unique way to show love and appreciation through the gift of self-care. My services are tailored to clients who value creative expression and long-lasting results. Gel-X sets are perfect for those looking for durable, lightweight nails with endless design possibilities, while my French tip pedicures provide a timeless look that’s both chic and practical.

What inspired me to focus on these services is the need for nail care that balances creativity, health, and durability. Many people struggle to find nail services that feel truly personalized or that prioritize the health of their natural nails. Gel-X, for instance, offers a healthier alternative to traditional acrylics, and my focus on nail art lets clients showcase their personality and style.

What makes my services unique is the level of customization I provide. Every design is a collaboration between me and the client, ensuring the final look is a true reflection of their vision. Additionally, I’ve built my brand with a focus on community and connection, working with clients of all backgrounds and creating a welcoming space where everyone feels valued.

Ultimately, I want my clients to leave not just with beautiful nails but with a renewed sense of confidence and self-love.

What’s been the most exciting part of the journey of taking this from idea to real life?
I genuinely love seeing my clients’ reactions when they’re thrilled with their nails—it’s the most rewarding part of what I do. It’s especially fulfilling when a client comes in with only a vague idea of what they want, and I’m still able to create a design that exceeds their expectations.

Nail artistry is such a unique balance between creativity and service. It’s not just about creating something visually stunning; it’s about designing something custom for the client’s event or occasion while ensuring it complements their everyday life. I consider it wearable art—something that makes a statement but is also practical and personal.

When a client trusts me to bring their vision to life, even when they’re unsure of the details, it challenges me as an artist and reminds me why I love what I do. Those moments of connection and seeing someone walk away with nails they’re proud to show off—that’s what makes all the effort worthwhile.

Have you tried any fun, non-traditional marketing ideas? If so, we’d love to hear the story and details.
Over the years, I’ve been more focused on the art of what I do rather than the marketing side. I’d go through phases where I consistently created content, and while it often performed well, I would eventually stop—not out of discouragement or unmet expectations, but because I never aspired to be an online personality or center my business around social media.

To build my brand without relying heavily on social media, I participated in farmers markets, small business pop-up events, and networking opportunities. I always made sure to carry my business cards, which helped me connect with potential clients in person. While my marketing strategy hasn’t been flashy or unconventional, it has been authentic to me and effective in building genuine relationships.

That said, I’m ready to step out of my comfort zone in 2025 and take a more dynamic approach to marketing. It’s an exciting time for my business, and I’m looking forward to embracing new strategies to grow even further.

What are you most thankful for?
Along the way, I’m most grateful for the people who have supported me genuinely. Supporting a small business doesn’t take much, but the clients who have been with me since the beginning truly melt my heart every time I see them. It’s incredible to think that I’m now approaching four years as a professional nail artist—something I once could only dream of.

I feel honored, blessed, and deeply humbled to have come this far. Their loyalty and encouragement remind me why I do what I do, and I’ll always carry that gratitude with me as I continue to grow.
