Jennifer, we loved learning your story, but I think our audience is going to appreciate learning about the services you provide as well. So, maybe you can help bring everyone up to speed?
My name is Jennifer, owner of J’Arrange Your Space, which is based out of Maryland. My team and I specialize in curating sensible, elevated functionality in our clients home through luxury organization and styling services. We reimagine how spaces are set up to help busy professionals and their families maximize spaces in the home for daily flow. We like to think we help turn houses back into homes where family can focus on what’s important to them instead of clutter and chaos. We are inspired by our clients lifestyles and goals and believe self care starts in the home, which everyone deserves access to.

Do you remember the moment you realized the world needed this product?
This business offering first hit me during the height of the 2020 COVID pandemic when all of us were locked in at home, feeling stuck and without any control. It was during this time that many of us, including myself, began taking long, hard looks at our home setup and yearned to create intimate spaces that gave calm vibes to escape the uncertainty of the world. By the summer, I realized this was a service my community deserved and one that I didn’t see widely available. I scheduled my first client in July 2020 and haven’t looked back since. We are blessed to have the opportunity to connect with so many awesome clients in the DMV region.

If you had to boil your services or brand down to one core message – what would that message be?
For J’Arrange Your Space, our core message is reevaluate, refresh and reorganize. Not only is this our company tagline, but it’s also something that deeply represents the way our team sees life beyond home organizing. Once you realize you are in control, you can reevaluate, refresh and reorganize any aspect of your life at anytime you need to- priorities, family, work/life balance, goals, etc. You have the power to declutter your life as many time as you need to without any explanation other than protecting your peace, and that’s really important to us.

Do you have any advice for folks who are just starting out?
Yes- just do it! Whatever the idea or plan is, don’t overthink it or over analyze it, just get out out there! You’ll grow and learn and make mistakes, but the sooner you get started, the sooner you’ll sharpen your skills and strategy. I originally had the idea for this business and filed paperwork back in 2016, but was nervous and super critical of myself. 4 years wasted that I could have had my small business even bigger by now. Don’t doubt yourself, get started today! Lastly, don’t take ANY business advice from someone not doing it themselves, they cannot offer you anything other than then opinions.
