Hi Jamal, Jonathin, and Melvin, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The journey honestly started kind of randomly. One day, Mel called all the fellas to see if podcasting was something they would be interested in the fellas said, sure! We started in Mel’s living room, and the rest is history. Our podcast, Unsolicited Views, really was a way to transition into opening up what is now, The Baltimore Podcast Studio.
In short, Unsolicited Views started as a podcast (and still is a podcast) that focuses on talking about views that are unsolicited. In looking for a place to record, we quickly realized that there weren’t many studios explicitly geared for podcasts, were decently priced, and were reliable.
We decided to create just that. From that, The Baltimore Podcast Studio was born. We pride ourselves on being affordable, professional, and knowledgeable.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road! Consistency is not an easy thing. We struggled with coming up with times each week that all of the guys were available. We then worked on trying to find a consistent place to record. We have been at over six locations since we began.
We’ve had to overcome podcast members not wanting to pod anymore and at times fighting the thought of whether we should keep going. We strived to keep the podcast going to show future Baltimore Podcast Studio clients that successful podcasting can be done!
