Today we’d like to introduce you to Tracy D. Jones.
Tracy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my company in 2020/2021. I always had a passion for modeling, makeup, and fashion. The beauty industry is a crowed market, so I had to push my creative skills to the forefront. I created DēVá brand that is affordable, high-quality products, and that would resonate with people of all genders, races, cultures, and lifestyles.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Entrepreneurship is not for the weak. You actually have to have the strength of a lion/lioness. It takes time, practice, patience, frustration, no rest, creativity, planning, marketing, designing, money. You can go from 0sales to 10 sales to 1 sale, back to 0 sales. One of the things I struggled with was having an idea to grow but not having what I needed to produce the idea in that moment. When I have an idea, I want to work on it right now, but sometimes you have to write it down and plan it out. I learned that the hard way by being frustrated at myself, now I’m easy on me (lol)
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
DēVá Brand is a growing Cosmetic Company. We sell products such as Eyeliner, Lip-gloss, Lipstick, Eyelashes, Nails, eyeshadows, Journal book, and other accessories not designed by DēVá Brand.
DēVá Brand has quality products at an affordable price. When a costumer purchase from DēVá Brand there is always a surprise included.
DēVá Brand is to enhance beauty while experiencing the confidence of being pretty powerful.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
(Laughing) One of my favorite childhood memories is putting on my Easter Monday outfit (my two best friends at the time) and I walk around so everybody could see us with our fits on. That’s that West Baltimore, Westside, Fayetteville, Fairmount, Catherine, Franklin memory. (I am cracking up)
