Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Wynne.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
After eloping in the heart of Tuscany, Italy in 2017, I discovered my love of wine, food, and charming hospitality. As we continued to travel to wine-rich destinations, like France, South Africa, and Argentina, I picked up essential tidbits that strengthened my ability to host and entertain, as well as my familiarity with all things wine.
Then COVID hit and I was craving the connection of my family and friends. During this time, I enrolled in the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) course at Washington DC’s Capital Wine School. After completing WSET 1 and 2, Grape Therapy was born.
Grape Therapy started as a virtual wine tasting business highlighting affordable, accessible yet high-quality wines from all over the globe, to connect with family and friends and learn a thing or two about wine in the process. We have now grown as the world has slowly opened up to in-person and virtual wine tastings.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I realized something I was missing during such a challenging time in the world and made the best of it. I knew I wasn’t alone missing my friends and family.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about The Grape Therapy?
Wine can be super intimidating. My wine tastings bring people together over the creativity of wine, food, and mingling while learning a thing or two!
I am most proud of the community I have built in such a short period of time. In addition to connecting with people during a challenging time, I also brought a new experience to my small town.
I offer tastings virtually or in-person for a variety of occasions: Bachelorette parties, bridal showers, happy hours, client appreciation events, networking events, or an excuse to drink on a Tuesday evening! There is nothing The Grape Therapy won’t do.
Grape Therapy also offers social media management for the Food and Beverage industry.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Go for it. It is scary to put yourself out there but just go for it and start.
If you wait for the perfect time to start, you’ll be waiting forever. There is so much free information on the internet, as long as you search for it!
