Exploring Life & Business with Paige Beverly of The Tutoring Paige

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paige Beverly.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hello readers! My name is Paige Beverly, and I’m the founder and tutor for The Tutoring Paige, my tutoring service that supports K – 8 students of all abilities in math, reading and French. I have always been passionate about educating others, and knew that I wanted to teach as early as 8 years old. I attended Goucher College, graduating with my Bachelor’s degree in French and Education. From there, I served with AmeriCorps as a fellow and fellow lead, then progressed into my Master’s program and teaching residency. I graduated from NYU in 2022 with my Master’s degree in Special Education, and have been a special education teacher ever since. I am now focusing more on building my tutoring business and transitioning into other professional opportunities outside of the classroom. I’m a mom and educator with a dedication to directing the next generation of learners to their chosen paths and becoming stellar global citizens.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been far from a smooth road for me! I truly feel that I am still on my path of “becoming.” I have endured struggles in the education space in terms of making my voice heard among veteran teachers and letting my expertise become recognized despite how young I am. I have also overcome challenges of motherhood and finding how that impacts my professional career, and even questioning how I can grow outside of the classroom while still making an impact. All of the struggles I have faced have strengthened me and shown me how capable I am in the path I’ve chosen for myself.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

What matters most to you?
My faith in God and my family are the most important to me. First and foremost, without God at the center I would not have the gifts and perseverance to grow my business and grow professionally to become the woman I am today. My partner, our children, and my family support system have uplifted and supported me in so many ways. With their words, efforts and help I have been able to maintain in the hardest of times and continue to do what I love – educating others!
