I’m Olajumoke Ajiniran, but I go by Ola. My journey into the world of event planning has been nothing short of an exciting adventure. The passion that fueled those early moments eventually led me to take a big step in July 2023 when I officially launched my own event planning business.
I won’t sugarcoat it; the event planning industry can be quite a maze. It’s filled with challenges and intricate details, but it’s equally rewarding. What keeps me going is the incredible support I’ve received from my family and friends, who’ve been my guiding stars throughout this adventure. For me, event planning isn’t just a job; it’s a calling. The creative process brings me immense joy, and it turns out I’m pretty good at it too.
My clients often describe me as someone who can transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. With every event, I get to paint a unique canvas, ensuring that each moment becomes a cherished memory for those I serve. My journey in event planning has had its fair share of struggles, and it’s important to acknowledge the personal ones too. Being an introvert with social anxiety in a world that thrives on social interactions can be quite challenging. The fast pace of life often values extroverted qualities, making networking and socializing feel daunting at times.
However, these struggles have been integral in shaping me as an event planner.
They’ve compelled me to step out of my comfort zone, not only in the creative aspects of my work but also in building meaningful connections and managing the demands of this busy world. It’s a journey that requires both resilience and adaptability, and it’s through these personal challenges that I’ve come to realize the depth of my passion for crafting extraordinary events.
