Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My story started in the sixth grade with a big dream and a lot of curiosity. I always knew I wanted to have a business of my own, and one day while I was doing research, I came across lip gloss and instantly fell in love with it. What started as a simple idea quickly became something I felt genuinely passionate about. As I got older, that passion kept growing, and by the time I got to high school, I knew Glossy was something I wanted to take seriously. Being in a cosmetology magnet program helped bring everything full circle for me. It made me realize that beauty was not just something I enjoyed, but something I could build a real brand around.

A huge part of my journey also comes from the people around me. I grew up surrounded by beauty, strong women, and entrepreneurship. My aunt especially had a big influence on me because she would let me come with her to vending events and help sell her products. Those experiences taught me how to talk to people, how to sell with confidence, and how important it is to believe in what you have to offer. Looking back, those moments helped shape the entrepreneur I am today.
Now, Glossy Cosmetics Company has grown into so much more than just a beauty brand. We create products in-house, and what makes Glossy really special is that we mix beauty, science, self-care, and community all into one experience. Through The Glossy Lab STEM Experience, I get to teach the science behind beauty and show girls that chemistry can be creative, exciting, and beautiful. Through The Glossy Chic Retreat, I get to create a fun, relaxing space where people can connect, create, and enjoy self-care. That is what I love most — being able to build something that not only looks good, but also makes people feel empowered and inspired.

Of course, my journey has had ups and downs. Being a young entrepreneur is exciting, but it also comes with challenges, and I have learned a lot along the way. I have had to remind myself that success does not happen overnight and that everyone’s journey looks different. I am still learning, still growing, and still becoming, but that is what makes the story so special. As a senior in high school, I am proud of how far I have come, and I am even more excited about where I am going. My story is really about starting where you are, trusting your vision, and giving yourself permission to grow into something amazing.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not exactly, but I see that as a positive because every part of the journey has taught me something valuable. One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to balance being a teenager, a student, a business owner, and a creator all at the same time. That experience has helped me grow in responsibility, discipline, and confidence much earlier in life.

Another challenge has been being so hands-on with my business. Because my products are handcrafted, I have learned the importance of patience, consistency, and paying attention to detail. Building Glossy has shown me that real growth takes time, care, and a lot of passion, and that has made me appreciate the process even more and want to grow others.

I have also faced personal challenges along the way, and those moments taught me resilience and helped me stay grounded. Overall, the road has not always been smooth, but every challenge has helped shape me, strengthen me, and prepare me for where I am headed next.

I love this part of the brand because it helps young girls and aspiring creators see that STEM can be creative, exciting, and connected to things they already love. Through The Glossy Chic Retreat, we offer a different kind of experience centered around self-care, creativity, and connection.
