Today we’d like to introduce you to Eden Flynn.

Hi Eden, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Hi there! My name is Eden Flynn, co-founder of Euna Aesthetics, an aesthetic injector, and laser specialist in Annapolis, MD. For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to help people. Now that can be a part of any career. For me, it was the fascination I had with the organized chaos of watching first responders and healthcare workers on tv in emergent situations. I admired these strong and smart individuals I saw on tv and wanted to be like them and work beside them. Fast forward to graduating from nursing school and becoming a registered nurse, I landed my dream job as a trauma nurse at the University of MD Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. For the years I spent in trauma, I learned more skills than I could have imagined as a bedside nurse, a leader, a team member, a caretaker, and a friend. To this day, I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity and the knowledge and experience I gained.

As much as this position fulfilled many of my life and career goals, I decided to change paths and help people differently. I wanted to help people look and feel their best. An opportunity presented itself back in 2018 for me to work for a medical aesthetics practice offering services for skin rejuvenation and anti-aging. I believed this was the next step in my nursing career to fulfill more of my goals in life while also working towards my bachelor’s in nursing degree. In this position, I learned more about myself than I ever knew I was capable of. I was quickly promoted to management while providing patients with aesthetic services. In my previous positions in healthcare, I transitioned into management roles, and I believe my leadership skills, work ethic, and uniqueness led me into these positions. I can thank my mom for these amazing qualities, as I admire every part of her as a successful business owner herself, an amazing role model, and a loving, caring mother. Thanks, mom!

Working in the aesthetic industry was intimidating at first, but it became my passion once I realized my true skill and became a confident aesthetic provider through education and practice. I am forever grateful for every patient I’ve had the honor to treat and will treat, as they are why I enjoy my work as much as I do.

I was lucky to meet someone along this journey who shared the same work ethic, drive, and values as I did. Her name is Ali Weiss, my good friend, my business partner, and my role model. I looked up to this person in every aspect of my life since I had met her. We shared similar goals and visions in life and our careers and are passionate about making patients feel like the best version of themselves. I knew that I wanted to take my career to the next level. I wanted to pursue my vision and open a medical aesthetics practice, and I knew she was the only person I wanted to do it with.

Our dreams have come true! Ali and I opened our medical aesthetics practice, Euna Aesthetics, in July 2022 and have the greatest team prepared to give our patients the best experience imaginable!

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been the smoothest road to get to where I am today. The positions I’ve held over the last several years and the degrees I’ve obtained and am currently obtaining have been stressful and have affected me both mentally and physically, just like I’m sure most of us have experienced. I have learned that all my struggles have given me opportunities to better myself, become a stronger person, and make me the person I am today.

What’s next?
I’m currently enrolled in the master’s program at Walden University to become a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). I am obtaining this degree to build on my knowledge as an aesthetic provider and continue to provide my patients with the safest and most comprehensive care possible.
