Exploring Life & Business with Alexandra Daddura

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandra Daddura.

Hi Alexandra, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started as a realtor in 2017. My first two years in the business, I was on a team in Harford County, MD where I learned a lot but wasn’t really able to grow as an individual so I ultimately decided a different broker and setting would be a better fit. The two years following that, I was a part of another phenomenal real estate group in Baltimore City. I learned even more while working with that group of very talented and successful agents and began growing my business exponentially in those two years. When COVID-19 hit and everything shut down, I decided that it was in my best interest to become an individual agent. I made the switch to Cummings & Company in September of 2020 and never looked back. I have been focusing mainly on growing a strong referral-based business and truly cherish the relationships I have with my clients!

Someone in the early days of my real estate career told me that I didn’t have what it takes to be a successful realtor. I am the type of person who THRIVES in turning negativity into positivity and those negative comments truly lit a fire under me to become as successful as I possibly could. That same person told me that I would be lucky if I ever sold $5million in real estate in a single year. In 2020, despite a global pandemic, as an individual realtor, I sold over $10million for the first time in my career. This year, 2021, I welcomed my first child, a gorgeous baby girl, into the world and took four months off to spend precious moments with her. Even after my extended maternity leave, I am still on pace to sell just over $10million worth of real estate for the second year in a row and couldn’t be more excited. I have an amazing referral network and support system around me and have them to thank for my continued success!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I have had a ton of obstacles along the way. I was TERRIFIED of leaving my steady paycheck 9-5 corporate job to go “commission only”. Those words were so daunting to me that I second-guessed my decision at first but I knew that staying in a job that I hated and working for someone other than myself was the worst thing I could do for my life and my future. I have definitely made mistakes – I have put my foot in my mouth multiple times, had to learn on the fly and trust my gut on many occasions…which wasn’t always the right move – but everything always works itself out. My first year in real estate, I barely made enough money to pay my bills but I knew that it would be temporary so I just stayed the course. I had always heard that most agents quit real estate before they make it to year three and despite being somewhat broke in my first year (lol!), I knew that if I stuck it out, I would not become one of the statistics. And, almost four years later…here we are! I have no one other than my amazing husband, my family, friends and, most of all, my clients and referral partners. They are the reason I am where I am today.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I’m Alexandra Daddura, a Licensed Realtor in Maryland. I am a lifelong Maryland resident and service all of Harford, Baltimore, Cecil and Howard Counties, as well as Baltimore City.

I specialize in residential real estate sales for both buyers and sellers.

My goal, above all else, is to do everything in my power to ensure that my clients have the most enjoyable, stress-free home buying or selling process possible while always having my client’s very best interest in mind. I fully understand that buying or selling a home is a big decision and I am passionate about providing my clients with outstanding, unmatched service, guidance and communication throughout the entire process.

No two clients are the same. I look forward to getting to know each client and personalizing my approach to match the experience that they desire throughout the process. Even with four years of experience in representing my clients, I pride myself on continuing to seek and understand the most up-to-date technology and knowledge within the real estate industry to serve in the best possible way on each and every transaction.

Any big plans?
Real estate has opened my eyes to a world that I never thought I would be a part of. I never in my wildest dreams would have considered myself a “real estate investor”, however, in 2020, my sister and I partnered to purchase a rental property in Ocean City, MD. It has been one of the most exciting, risky, fun, amazing projects that I have ever been a part of and I am dying to purchase more. My future plans would be to continue selling real estate full-time but to also grow my personal real estate portfolio as quickly as possible. I could never have imagined that real estate would open doors for me both personally and financially to allow me to do things that I thought were out of reach. In addition to expanding my portfolio, I would also love to dip my toe in the “flipping” business and learn more about it!

Lastly, real estate has given me the financial freedom to support my family, plan for the financial future and participate in philanthropic endeavors! I love working with animals and one day – though it may be far in the future – I would love to own an animal rescue or rehabilitation center. I donate a portion of each sale to local animal shelters currently and cannot wait until I am able to do even more for the fur babies!
