Today we’d like to introduce you to The Rudely Honest Podcast.
The Rudely Honest Podcast, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
The Rudely Honest Podcast was born out of real conversations happening long before the microphones ever turned on. What started as late-night group chats, unfiltered debates, and “you said what?!” moments between friends grew into a space people naturally gravitated towards. What started as an idea quickly transformed into a platform. Week by week, “the Rude Crew” community formed, drawn in by the humor, the vulnerability, the chaos, and the truth. Today, The Rudely Honest Podcast stands as a home for people who appreciate unfiltered conversation, cultural commentary, and the freedom to be unapologetically themselves.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey has been anything but smooth. From scheduling conflicts and life changes to equipment failures, creative disagreements, and moments where the team wasn’t sure if the show would keep going, the podcast has faced every kind of challenge. There were seasons where consistency felt impossible, times when balancing personal lives and full-time careers pulled everyone in different directions, and moments when the crew had to rebuild, rethink, and recommit.
But every bump in the road helped shape the identity of the show. The struggles forced the team to grow — as creators, as friends, and as a unit. The tough moments taught resilience. The transitions taught flexibility. And the setbacks proved that the Rude Crew wasn’t just showing up when it was convenient — they were showing up because the platform mattered.Through it all, the honesty that defines the podcast always brought the team back to center. If the show stands for anything, it’s that life is messy, relationships are complicated, and growth is rarely easy — but the story is always worth telling.
The road hasn’t been smooth, but it’s been real. And that’s exactly why The Rudely Honest Podcast continues to resonate with people today.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
At its core, The Rudely Honest Podcast is built on conversation — real conversation. We specialize in creating a space where people can speak freely, laugh loudly, and unpack the kinds of topics that most folks avoid. Our work blends cultural commentary, relationship talk, personal growth, and everyday life experiences into an environment that feels both entertaining and genuinely relatable.
We’re known for our chemistry. Whether it’s the blunt humor, the unfiltered opinions, or the way each host brings a completely different perspective to the table, the Rude Crew dynamic is what listeners connect with first. Shady brings the grounding “let’s keep it real” energy, Nocturnal brings introspection and balance, and Ezzy brings sharp wit and comedic timing. Together, the mix is something you don’t hear everywhere — it’s authentic, imperfect, and intentionally human.
One of the things we’re most proud of is the community that has formed around the show. Listeners didn’t just become fans; they became part of the Rude Crew. People tell us they tune in because our conversations feel like home — the real type of home, where people joke, debate, disagree, support one another, and speak their truth without hesitation. That level of trust and connection is something we never take for granted.
What sets us apart is our transparency. We don’t pretend to be experts. We’re not trying to fit into a podcast formula. We show up as ourselves — flaws, growth, lessons, and all — and invite guests and listeners to do the same. Our willingness to go into uncomfortable topics, to genuinely listen to each other, and to maintain honesty even when it’s messy is what gives this show its identity.
The Rudely Honest Podcast isn’t just content — it’s a reflection of real life. And that authenticity is what keeps people coming back.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
One of the biggest risks we’ve taken was simply deciding to put ourselves out there — our voices, our stories, our opinions, our growth. None of us came from a traditional media background, and balancing the podcast with real-life responsibilities, careers, and personal commitments wasn’t easy. There were moments when we questioned whether we could keep going or whether the risk was worth it. But choosing to push forward, evolve, and stay consistent became one of the best decisions we’ve made.
We’ve also taken creative risks: experimenting with new formats, bringing on unexpected guests, tackling sensitive topics, and allowing listeners to see the behind-the-scenes truth of navigating friendships, disagreements, and life changes while still building something together. Every leap we’ve taken has shaped the identity of the show.
Our perspective on risk is simple: anything meaningful comes with some level of discomfort. You can’t build something real by playing it safe. We believe in taking risks that align with your purpose, your voice, and your values — because even if you stumble, the growth you gain is worth it. The Rudely Honest Podcast exists because we were willing to take that first step, and everything we’ve accomplished since has come from choosing courage over comfort.
