Today we’d like to introduce you to Tameka Rogers.
Hi Tameka, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been working for USPS as a mail carrier since 2017 I didn’t have time to do makeup so I would do it here and there and during prom season. While working at USPS I met my bestfriend Ashley Shuler who had the same style as me and we were both into fashion and makeup. I started doing different looks on her and taking pictures. Then we decided to go into business together. I’m more of a lively outgoing person where she’s more operational and likes to handle business. So together we came up with Vain Artisty which is all about beauty and cosmetics. The services that are offered are makeup soft glam to dramatic, eyelash extensions, microshading semi-permanent eyebrows, brow tint, and brow lamination the goal is to provide clients with that extra confidence and make everyone feel beautiful I love the wow factor when they get up out the chair.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The struggles were self-doubt and actually starting a business. This is something new for me that I’ve never done before definitely got me out of my comfort zone

I do makeup, eye lash extensions, semi-permanent eyebrows known as microshading, eyebrow tint, and eyebrow lamination. I’m most proud of myself for taking myself serious and believing in myself and getting certified to perform all the services that I offer. What sets me apart from others is working with me is an experience. All the clients I have served always love how they look. I love hearing I didn’t even want to wash my face lol.

My business partner and my bestfriend Ashley Shuler. My mentor Sierra Gates Aka Sierra Glamshop . Ashley always encouraged me and shared ideas for the business and kept the dream alive and Sierra, my mentor, gave me knowledge and the business tools to succeed and be successful in the business. She also certified me in all the aspects of the business
