Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Houston.
Hi Sarah, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started photography when I was 13, I loved photographing with my film camera and creating. It blossomed into a business after my daughter was born in 2010 and I’ve been photographing weddings every weekend since!
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been smooth sailing, but honestly, the ups & downs help me learn/grow each year. When you are your business…meaning I’m the face, the owner, the everything, you take EVERYTHING personally and I’m super critical of myself.
So when I have a rough year or something doesn’t go right-it really affects me.

I’m an engagement and wedding photographer in Virginia.
I am OBSESSED with weddings and getting to tell someone’s love story every weekend is truly an honor. I can’t even say how grateful I am for what I’m able to do…it’s truly so magical. Watching two people who were once strangers choose forever, it’s incredible.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I love the city and water views it’s truly the best of both worlds, I just hate the traffic and finding parking lol!
