Today we’d like to introduce you to Lexxi Cockey.

Hi Lexxi, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
Well, I started my business as an extra source of income back in 2021.

My fiancé was away and I figured starting my own automotive decal business would give me the burst of income monthly that I needed, I was wrong! So after about 6 months, I knew there had to be a bigger, more creative market that I could enter.

Then I found Custom tumblers. That was back in August 2021. I spent the next 3 months perfecting that craft and relaunched my business under a whole new Wave! Since then? I’ve started mentoring other Tumblr creators and created a great environment and space for those who enjoy my creations.

There’s been nothing but personal growth, as well as my business, has grown! I started with tumblers, I now? Customize ANYTHING. Don’t sleep on the girl.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Whew, never was a smooth road.

I went from a market that I thought I had on lock and knew to a WHOLE NEW market and audience. Motivation and self-doubt were a struggle when learning the new craft. But once I got the hang of it? Ya, good homegirl has been BOOMIN ever since.

I went from 2 orders a month with my decal business to making almost 1k a month with much more passion for my projects. I found the love for crafting thru my struggles and realized that mental health can and will always need an outlet. Crafting became my way out of the mental struggle.

Once I did that? All other struggles either faded or became less of a struggle.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I create customized gifts.

From clothing to keychains, to tumblers (cups), wine glasses, drinking flasks, custom office supplies, custom stickers, any and everything that needs to be personalized? I can. I specialize in Glitter and Bling Tumblers (cups) in varying sizes. I can make sets, individuals, or bulk orders.

I am most known for my Seinfeld Bling Cup, it very much gives 90’s nostalgia and matches the color scheme of the original logo so much. I went viral for it, and due to my personal love of Seinfeld, it definitely was a moment for me.

I’m most proud of, and what also sets me apart from others is, that I am authentically myself. When creating, or talking to my clients I make sure they know that the decisions of the creative process of their piece are always left to them. I literally take notes and do a consultation for EVERY custom order just to make sure they get exactly what they ask for.

I always leave a piece of myself in my items. I cuss, I create, I show my family, I show my mistakes, I show my wins, I show every aspect of my process, and do not apologize for it, cause it brings out the BOMB creations that I make.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I feel my Deep Listening characteristic is what brings me the most success. I listen to the client, to what they have going on in their life, and honestly?

Watch their social media, and look over their posts and I am NEVER afraid to ask more questions based on what I’ve heard. Without listening I cannot create the PERFECT custom gift and the customer won’t be satisfied, cause it’s obviously not what they asked for.
