Hi Jay, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Started with senior year high school portraits and now we’re here! Billboards/ commercials/TV series/movies it’s definitely been an amazing journey!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not smooth at all. The constant changes in life and having to adjust daily, the need to always create all day every day and that’s just not realistic at all. Being your own person and bringing your own energy into every room. Understanding my worth as a person/model. Being black listed and not showing that to deter or defer me just made me work harder than everyone around me
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m the common day renaissance man! I model/ act/design/direct/style…. Etc you name it I can do it or give me a couple hours I’ll figure it out 🤣. I’m know for a lot of things but primarily for being a super expressive creative individual that’s him everywhere i go. I’m proud of all my accomplishments honestly! I’d say the most recent ones would be getting my first magazine cover on an international platform and working with Pacsun always been a dream!
How do you think about happiness?
Life! It’s interesting every day comes with its own ups and downs but the constant flow is what I live for! My daughter she brings me so much joy! Creating in general makes me happy whether it be formulating ideas or just shooting content itself
