Simple Girl: A Journey Toward Courage, Intention, and Simplicity
I’ve always felt like the black sheep — left out, brilliantly underestimated, unseen, and misunderstood. My story began long before Simple Girl had a name. It was born out of seasons of doing it all — building a career in real estate, selling over $75 million in real estate, renovating and building homes, raising a daughter and son as a single parent, navigating rejection and heartbreak — and realizing that somewhere along the way, I had lost the feeling of alignment. I was successful on paper but craving peace, purpose, and something that felt simple again — not small, but aligned. Along the way, I became richly layered in community initiatives and found purpose as a philanthropist, supporting mission-driven organizations that empower women and children.
Simple Girl started as a personal mantra: a reminder to live with intention and to choose courage over chaos. Over time, it grew into a lifestyle brand and community that celebrates women who are brilliant, underestimated, and ready to live courageously. We redefine “simple” as powerful, intentional, and free.
Through storytelling, curating experiences, and amplifying brands and people through product partnerships, Simple Girl has become a space for women to reconnect with themselves and each other. From our Adventure Club hikes to our signature mugs and “Activate” moments, everything we do is about celebrating real women — women who are building, healing, creating, and still showing up bravely.
My path hasn’t been linear — it’s been full of lessons in faith, surrender, and reinvention. But every chapter, from real estate to brand building, has taught me that simplicity isn’t about doing less — it’s about doing what matters most.
Today, Simple Girl is more than a brand; it’s a movement to live courageously and create space for alignment, purpose, and peace — one simple step at a time. I want my children to see that simple isn’t basic — it’s brave. And that Simple Girls can handle hard things.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Has it been a smooth road?
Not at all — but every bump has built me.
Simple Girl has always been a passion project I’ve self-funded through my real estate career, small grants, and a lot of faith. Balancing a full-time career while pouring personal resources into a mission-driven brand hasn’t been easy. There were seasons when I faced doubt, exhaustion, and what I call my “five-minute funerals” — those quiet moments where I’d grieve the dream I thought was slipping away, only to rise again and keep going.
One of the biggest challenges has been finding the right team — people who believe in the vision deeply enough to help it grow before there’s a paycheck attached. Simple Girl was never meant to be just a brand; it’s a feeling, a movement. And for a long time, I struggled to articulate that. It’s hard to explain something that isn’t tangible — it’s a spirit, a way of living.
There’s also been the challenge of access — to capital, to networks, to visibility. But even without those resources, I’ve learned to build slowly and intentionally, trusting that the right people, partners, and moments will align when the mission is clear.
Every obstacle has refined me, strengthened my faith, and reminded me why I started — to create something that feels real in a world that often rewards what’s just loud.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I wear a few hats, but they all connect through one purpose — building things that matter. Professionally, I’ve built a successful career in real estate, selling over $75 million in homes, renovating properties, and helping families create spaces that reflect who they are. I’m known for my ability to see potential where others see problems — whether that’s a house that needs vision or a woman who just needs someone to remind her she’s capable.
Through Simple Girl, I’ve extended that same passion for transformation beyond real estate and into lifestyle — curating experiences, amplifying brands, and creating products that encourage women to live courageously and in alignment. My work blends business with purpose. I love bringing people and ideas together, especially when it supports women and children through philanthropic partnerships.
What I’m most proud of isn’t the numbers — it’s the impact. I’ve watched Simple Girl spark conversations that help women feel seen and connected. I’ve helped clients find not just homes, but hope and stability. I’ve turned my own challenges into a platform that inspires others to keep going, even when it’s hard.
What sets me apart is that I lead with heart. I don’t just build houses or brands — I build moments of courage. Everything I create, whether in real estate or through Simple Girl, is rooted in intention, integrity, and a belief that simplicity is power.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
The name Simple Girl actually came from a moment in my dating life. I kept hearing men say they wanted a “simple woman” — someone quiet, submissive, and uncomplicated. And I realized I was the total opposite of what they meant.
Even though I thought I was simple — not begging for shopping trips, designer bags, or material things — what I wanted was a real partnership, someone to build with, to dream with. I’ve always been hardworking, passionate, and purpose-driven. My kind of simple was never about being less — it was about being real.
Simple Girl became my way of redefining what the word simple means. It’s not about being small or silent — it’s about being aligned. It’s about living with intention, clarity, and courage.
This brand is my passion project, my next chapter, and the culmination of every lesson I’ve learned — about love, motherhood, business, heartbreak, and rebirth. My hope is that Simple Girl continues to remind women everywhere that they don’t have to shrink to be seen. Simplicity isn’t weakness — it’s wisdom, strength, and freedom. You can start over at any age, with grace and grit — when life shifts, so can you. Pivot, don’t panic.
